does any one here have chronic stage fright... i mean real chronic like me. i have only given a testimony three times in my life in church ..why because of stage fright.. i mean its ridiculous i sweat, i stammer, cant find the correct note to sing the song.. lucky if i remember the song...major disaster
this ever happen to anyone
cant find the correct note to sing the song.. lucky if i remember the song...
I can usually speak fine in front of people, but that song thing really runs true for me.
For example, in my philosophy class there's a rule that if your cell phone goes off, you have to sing a song. Well, I just bought a new watch. Unbeknownst to me, it had an alarm. It went off (mind you, I didn't set it!). I couldn't even remember the words to Happy Birthday.
There's not many other situations more humiliating than being asked to sing "Happy Birthday" to your teacher and having to admit that you can't remember the words. They gave me a hint by saying it had a lot to do with the words "happy birthday." I still couldn't remember. gaah!

The odd thing with me is that when I sing in front of others, I can sing about and octave higher than what I usually sing. I can sing low by myself, but my voice cracks when I sing low in front of others, to the point where I sound like I am about to cry.

I hide it really well with humor and a little crazyness lol . I have learned how to supress it a little i guess, and its all thanks to a job i used to have but am glad i dont work there anymore :D
