erm; I know bible says so... but I don't see it in my own life just yet; how will we be victorious?:confused: okay so we are victorious in Him (that "in Him"... now and then that makes me wonder, what does that mean)... so, how will this become practice?

Being victorious is never letting the devil win. This is hard because we are humans, but God knows that because He, in His perfect mind, made us humans. So, when things are tough, you can just remember, you are victorious through Christ. Read your Bible and pray to gain victory. When you do these things, you are building your spiritual muscles and exercising your faith, which makes you stronger and more able to defeat satan. That's what I have to say, does it make sense?

If the physical is already taken care of, and the problem still persist, I believe it might be on the church you are attending to bro. There is a fivefold ministry ordained by God to give us strength, to edify, Eph 4:11. If that is not happening to us, we have to check where we are standing and place ourselves on the right track so that God can work through us. Listening to tapes aren't enough, reading sometimes make us sleepy, but a fellowship that preaches the pure unadulterated Word of God, and a consecrated holy ministry will surely make our life a joy. Observe. An ordained ministry will let the Holy Spirit work through it to His utmost will and freedom, and you shall hear His voice speaking to you personnally.

sports... well; I had just a small conversation with an older... brother; it's... but I don't like sports, don't like sporting - that is, I hate it; it's, ow, as a child my parents seemed to think I must do sport, but all that, I'm just so very not good at it, really not enjoying it, felt alone there... really hated it at school too, me being that kid nobody wanted to have in their group;
but I'm sure you weren't talking of any of that... right?

There's nothing wrong with parent's advise for physical exertion, and it might help a lot. I too before, when at your age, didn't seem to enjoy the kind of stuff I do now, and, the only time that you can make me play is when I get caught up in the situation and not me looking for it. Getting in touch with people will help. Exercise is to develop or maintain fitness or increase skill. By these, we can obtain mental, or emotional balance. Our bodies affect our spirits.

now... I long to have that victory bible says is right here right now for me to experience in life (is that right?), I long to be free of sin (and free of mis steps), I want... His leading, His speaking, everything
now, how to bring that to practice? the words are all nice but as words... just words is the flat image, I want the experience, the real thing - that same real thing God promised...?

I liked the natual type to the spiritual too. I think perhaps Joris, you let your negative thoughts dwell in your mind too much. This is one thing you must fight if you are to prevail.

Also, remember that faith is not about seeing/feeling.

So even tho you don't see the strength, the power, the love...etc... you must apply those things in FAITH. It doesn't matter about the feeling. Step out in faith on the Word of God, and watch God bring those things in your life.

Don't sit there in a pity party saying "God, where is this?" Walk in faith in Jesus, trusting that He WILL PERFORM His WORD in YOUR LIFE!!

maybe that seems a pretty prayer, if those are just words; it's a very ugly prayer I can tell you, as it's true for me
