I know we kind of have one in revenge. At least we got on the topic there and I just thought why not start a thread about it. Talk about boring the guys eh. haha. We have so much more stuff in Girl Talk then they do in the fort. They just don't have as much to talk about.
Any way SHOPPING! any and every thing to do with it. Thats what this is about.

since I started the thread I will start the converstaion off.
I have a hard time buying a skirt if its full price. Even puting $20 or more is hard for me to do. I hate spending money and sometimes I have to force my self to. Some think I'm stingy becuase of it but I just don't like to spend money. Pluse I have a truck and I have to pay for stuff on it. And if you don't have a full time job its hard. But God always meets my needs. He always has and always will.
One thing my sister and I will do. If we see a skirt we both like one of us will by them. And then give it the second one to the other sister. She did it just a bit ago. Then we kind of just return the favore. We by each other clothes with out expecting to get something back.
Also the music in the malls this days is straight from the pit of hell in my opione. Thats one thing I really hate about them.

I TOTALLY agree with you about the worldly music they play at the malls. They play it so loud and it is in every store.. BLEH.. I rarely buy skirts at the mall.. I have bought a lot of shirts on sale, but barely any skirts. Because ALL the modest skirts are in stores like Dillards, Sears, JC Penny's, and they are very expensive and I can't afford them. They are usually from stores like Wal-Mart or Cato. In fact, I just bought 2 skirts today. One was a long blue jean skirt from GOODWILL (haha) for $5! And, I bought a skirt on sale from Kohl's for $10. I'd say that's a good deal wouldn't you? Heehe :)

Long skirts are personally my favorite. Especially long blue jean skirts. They just look so holy to me. But, it's hard to find long blue jean skirts anymore. I think as long as our knees do not show (EVEN when we sit down...) then it should be modest enough length. :)

i wanted to go shopping for the Ohio camp so we went to the mall, i got the cutest long blue jean skirt from Dillards (it was on sale for like really cheap) and i got a few other skirts. i think i bought the most skirts that i ever have because when i find modest skirts i'll buy them because they're awfully hard to find!!:012: uhh, wow!! i was really talking in circles! lol

We don't have Dillards in canada.
I buy cloths at wal-mart, sometimes sears, retimans, Old Navy, Garage, Stiches, Mariposa. Umm Suzy Sheers, Smart Set etc.
I don't know if you have any of those Stores in America (US).

Holy denim. That made me laugh. I do love denim skirts though and like you I have found it very hard to buy them lately. One of my best friends bought me one from GAP which was £20 (I'm not sure what that is in dollars). The last brilliant denim skirt I bough was from TOP SHOP for £40. A bit expensive but I bought it about 5 years ago and I'm still wearing the life out of it.

HAA
I have more shopping to do today... I bought a skirt yesterday for a wedding on Saturday, and I have no top to go with it. A pretty necklace to match doesn't sound too bad either. ;)

I want to go shoping on friday with my sister helena. Its going to be fun. I'm in manitoba right now so this is where I like to by my clothes. I can get different things here and I am praying for some good deals. Also i thank God that he delivered me from the spirit of immodesty becasue now it dose not matter what others say I wear what I believe is modest.
And we all know when our clothes are to tight. Now others may disagree but we do know.

I went birthday shopping today. You know I have 4 birthdays to shop for this month!! My pastor and his sister's birthday party is tomorrow night after church. I got her some nice candles and a card (and a pretty bag to put it in), and I got my pastor a picture frame, which I'm going to put a picture of Jesus I drew (Hoffman's Head of Christ) inside of it, and give it to him. It will be hard to let it go... Hehe. But I know he'll like it. However, the frame is too big, so I have to take it back and get another. Pshhh.... Haha :)

My favorite place to buy skirts is E-bay. You can get great things, for a reasonable price, without leaving your house...Oh and it's delivered to you! You can type in a general description like "long skirt 10" and a million skirts will come up, or do more specifically, "Old Navy White Linen Skirt" and see what comes up. It's great if there's a specific skirt you wanted, but never got. A tip is always check that the measurements are listed, because the sizes vary with each brand.

You don't have to have a credit card. You can set up paypal to come out of a checking account; that's what I do.

I serusly have to make up my mind that I'm going to go shopping for clothes and yet I still sometimes feel bad about getting them becuase I think there are so many other things that money could go to. But If satan can't get you in one ditch he'll try the other. Stay in the middle sisters.

I love shopping! I go to certain places in the mall for certain things, and I love deals. I have gotten a nice black velour jacket (make: Madison Studio) that was like originally $86, and I got it for $6, and a nice long lined white linen skirt (same make) for $20. Gotten some really good deals there, was Belk.
Christoper & Banks, oooh, if you have that store, it is a real blessing. Ours always has skirts of some kind, and I have paid over $50 for a skirt there, because I really really liked it. If I don't get it, and I really want it, it won't be there when I get back. They order only one size 4, and generally I fit it. I can fit their 4, 6, and even their 8! (heh, I just got the perfect idea: putting up pix of our favorite clothes, that would really send them into fits. :D ) I have found some wonderful skirts there, and I do make some of my own. Got a nice one from www.hannahlise.com, for those of you who like internet shopping. Owned and operated by a Message family, so they are always modest, and they have decent prices too.
