Just remember when trying to win a guys heart
" Away to a guy's heart is through is stombach."
Because it just tastes so good!! hehe
I don't think I like food any more than a girl, I can just eat a whole lot more of it. None of this "I can't eat another slice or I'll get fat" business, I'll eat the whole cake if nobody else wants it. Guys just need to eat more because they need more energy, you know, to help build those big muscles.

(how this behavior may be just more scars from depression but... anyway some psychologist suggested it's healthy to eat regularly)

It's just a simple fact that guys need more calories than girls do. That and guys aren't (as) self conscious about their figure. (Except maybe for Joe.) So as long as it tastes good, we eat it whenever we want.

I don't think food is a passion, for me at least, I definately can get hungrier than girls do but a passion? I don't think so. Cooking is a passion for me, reading my Bible is a passion, sport is a passion. Eating I only do when I'm hungry, which is all the time.

I'd like to point out the fact that some girls can pack it away too. I once knew this girl who ate a ton of food all the time (but, intrestingly she was very skinny, and I don't think she had any kind of disorder)

I don't think she was referring to the amount of food guys eat, but the passion they sometimes have for it... though I disagree that only guys can be passionate for food, even if they are more famous for being so ;)

I'm not obsessed with food but I do like good food (just as much as anyone else I'd assume). By the way, why are we talking about this in this forum (just trying to find the correlation)? :)

I think I see a reason. Guys really don't have that passion on eating just to be filled or satisfy the belly. For married men, I think they begin to gain this pleasure because of the passion that they see on their wives preparing or serving food with gladness, trying to please him with the best dish she could prepare. It's like, the deep that calleth to the deep. If there's an appetite, there should be the best dish for it. For me, I don't really enjoy eating if it's not served with the heart.

I know some girls that love food as much as most guys and they are not overweight, they just exercise to balance. I don't think enjoying food is a bad thing. But it becomes bad when it becomes gluttony. I think people misperceive an appreciation for food with gluttony because so many people are overweight and have health problems. Nowadays, people are so health conscience and the idea of eating too much is so ingrained in their heads, that they think eating is bad! People are used to bad food that makes them overweight and they think that all food is bad. But, like I've said so many times, everything in moderation, including moderation. :)

from what i have seen, the standard stereotype for guys is they eat enormously. that said, i must be weird or something, because i eat until i am full, then i stop. i don't even eat huge helpings, they are normal, but i cannot eat and then keep eating after i am full. i think that may be why i haven't had any weight gains (maybe because i'm very active too). anyway, that's my $.011111111111...

Well, this is probably the place to talk about this,
How can a guy NOT like food. I mean, I like to eat good food. There are times, as evidenced by my tummy, that I eat too much, but there are times when I enjoy just enough of a delectable dinner.
Like tonight, I'm working as the technical attaché' to our executive team at a hotel in Downtown Louisville. We ate at "Mediterranean Blue" tonight for dinner. This is a restaurant that is above my pay grade. I had grouper, over this pasta stuff, with pea pods...and kind of a lemony sauce. It was FANTASTIC!!! How can you not like eating when it's just sooo yummy??
I just enjoy eating... I don't know why...I just like it. Just like I like swimming...I don't know why, I just do.
oooh...that was yummy tho.

I love to cook it.
I love to eat it.
Especially the really bad stuff, like desserts. Yesterday I had to make some desserts to fill the dessert cooler back up. In an hour and a half, I had cut two cheesecakes, piped 21 3oz triple chocolate mousse desserts, make key lime parfait and piped about 11 of them, baked off 9 plain creme brulees, and assembled 8 tiramisu, (large). Oh yummy!
I have sooo many new things to try out.
Am thinking of adding that to my resume:
Loves to cook, loves to travel, willing to camp, cleans fish.
