Hello everybody!
I wondered if anyone in here can recommend some good books to me. I'm heading off for a vacation and I need things to read on the plane. Anything easy-to-read will do. Do you have books or authors that you've enjoyed?
Thanks for helping.

The bible, or any message book would be perfect!! hehe
But, other than those... (lol) Coming Home by David Lewis is really good. And The Alchemist (not sure of the author) is really good too.

Or Anything by Beverly Lewis...that is if you like Amish based books. Or the "Love Comes Softely" Series by Janette Oke.
I could list lots more as well, but that's all i shall do for now.

I really enjoyed reading, 'Shadow of the Wind' and 'Purple Hibiscus'. They are two of the best books I've read in ages. Also the 'Noughts and Crosses' trilogy by Malorie Blackman is superb.

Has anyone read any of the books from the series, Sons of Encouragement by Francine Rivers? They are about certain men in the Bible. I haven't read any but I may read the third in the series which is about Jonathan and it is called The Prince.

hi Nanci,
I have not read those books you´ve mentioned, but I have read some other books of the same author. She has written 5 books about the 5 women that are in the lineage of Jesus (Rahab, Ruth, Tamara, Batseba and Mary). They were very good!
BUT some other christian books of the same author I didn´t like at all.
I threw them away because I thought there were no good at all!

I happen to enjoy the Redwall series. More adventure than romance, to be sure. :D

This Is My Favorite Book I Think! It Is So Good. Kind Of Intense, But Has More Of A Plot Than Other Romances. It's By Francine Rivers; I Enjoy Many Of Her Books.

I bought that book on the recommendation of a sister from church. Wow, was it powerful. I enjoyed it immensely. Definitely has some more mature themes, though.
