Any ladies noticed how when you lose hairs, they end up in the strangest places? Occasionally I'll find one trying to wrap itself around my leg, or one that has decided to sneak into my shirt. That's annoying. It tickles! Then I end up digging around forever because I can't see it, but I feel it, yet I can't find it! Ugh! LOL. Now, I know I'm not the only one. Someone better answer. LOL

I KNOW! It's horrible!!! That happened to me once, well, it has happened more than once, but this particular time i was in school and my professor was giving his lecture when i felt it somewhere around my toe... hahaha, lol... yeah, all the way down there! I was trying to find it to get reed of it, and then i heard silence... the professor and i think my neighbors where kind of staring... i was emberrasing!!! :D There's been other WORSE situations, i'm sure someone else can agree to that...

Oh my, that's too funny!

Today I was babysitting and the toddler had a long hair wrapped around his foot! I'm pretty sure it was mine and not his sister's. I don't know how hair gets in the places that it does, but it does!!!

I know what you mean about hair being up your shirt you try to get it and you cant find it, but when you do it's like ahhhh finally. And it's amazing, when i brush my hair i get hand full's of loose hair but my hari is always still thick it never thins, as much as my hair comes out i should be bald HAHA

It's so odd how EVERY TIME you brush your hair, you have a ton of hair coming out, and yet, there's still some left on your head! He he he! It's true though! I don't understand it, but at any given time I can pull loose hairs out!

The worst for me is when I get a loose hair in the BACK of my skirt. Then it's really hard to find, but it keeps tickling my legs! I could stand there forever just trying to find that boogery hair!!!

Bekah this is natural! It happens to everyone. When you have long hair specially... the more we loose the more that comes out... and consider yourself blessed: my hair is THIN!!! I mean, THIN... So... yeah, pray for me!

MarieLenora

I have! Mine was caught in the top of the door, and I just left it there (because it was loose enough not to break, and because I was driving...)

People ask me all the time if I sit or step on my hair. It is about to the back of my knees, (almost), and when I bend down, I step on my hair. I do sit on it, but it is really bad when someone ELSE steps on my hair when I am down there. *ouch*

I love to play with peoples hair. If I am able to, I will sit there and brush it, and braid it. I love doing fancy hairstyles. I have even done a wedding party once!

Fans like to suck in my hair!!! (Not ceiling fans! lol)

My junior year of high school in the winter- I would walk in and take my coat off which would create super static in my hair. Then when I touched my locker I would get a super schock! This happened EVERY DAY in the winter!!!

blessed
12-06-2005, 04:22 PM
ha ha ha are u serious, how could that happen every day...did ur hair stand out when u got shocked

collegegirl

I hate how staticy hair gets in the winter. Well, that, and in the summer when it is so humid that your curls fall out even when you use half a bottle of hairspray. *yuck*

collegegirl

So, try not washing it with such hot water. Wash with a milder water. The hotter it is, the more it dries out your skin.

It's amazing where hair can end up. my hair must have grown a foot and a half when I was pregant. Somethings to think about with all that hair.

things getting caught in it. hair can get wrapped around body parts, exspecially little kids. When you was baby clothes(sleepers most important) wash them inside out so that when you take them out you know there is no extra hair on them cause it can get wrapped around little toes.

Vacumm cleaners, hair clogs them up really bad can burn up the motor

family beds, babies can actually suffocate in your hair, tie it up.

car doors, I've gotten my hair shut in a car door and then it hurts to move my head

I love my hair, but since the baby I haven't worn it down very often. She loves it too and hair pulling happens often.

just things to think about

Thank you for the advice. The only part that would be hard for me is wearing it tied at night. I hate to do that. But the good thing (maybe? :D ) Is that I have years to go until I get married. LOL :D

I mostly braid my hair or wound it into a tight bun now cause it is pretty long. It is kinda hard not to especially if you are travelling esp on a windy day :D

I love braids!!! My mum does really cool ones. It's kind of easy to do in my type of hair. I'm african. You can do funky things with it as well. It makes your hair grow real long.

Babyruth

I can't braid very well, at least on my own hair. I always do it crookedly or it looks terrible. My mom can never braid my hair well either, except in french braids.

blessed
12-27-2005, 01:49 PM
i can't braid my own hair either it looks just terrible, but if i get someone to do it for me it looks really cool.

Babyruth

Same with me. If someone else braids my hair, then it looks fine, but when I do it, it looks terrible!!! I do like french braids though, they look really neat!

blessed
12-27-2005, 07:06 PM
You have nice long hair it would look really beautiful to braid..but don't it take long ... i like my hair braided small so i can keep it for a while but it takes so long

Babyruth
12-28-2005, 01:44 AM
Thank you! I don't think it's too long compared to lots of my friends, but it has grown a lot. It isn't very thick though. A lot of it came out a couple years ago and it's still growing back. I don't know why, but over half my hair fell out. It was very sad. My mom just does 2 french braids, so it only takes about 10 minutes to do.

blessed
12-28-2005, 12:06 PM
if u braid ur hair it help it to stop breaking, my hair is thinning a bit so im going to start braiding it again

vpiper
12-28-2005, 01:27 PM
some people claim that braiding hair too tight causes stress and breaking. I braid my hair almost every day. When I was pregant I got head aches from putting my hair in a bun, now that it's longer and heavier it doesn't seem to bother me. But it looks really silly cause my bun is three inches thick.

Braiding hair is fun, I can't wait until my baby girl has hair for me to do.

back to hair, my baby loves it, last night we were in the car and she was cranky and I couldn't calm her, I put the end of my braid in her lap and she calmed down and played with it, eating it too, but what do you expect for a 7 mth old.

she also discovered she has her own hair and pets her head often

I love babies! I think I already said that my aunt is going to have another baby, and although it will be her 4th, it will still be fun! I'm soo excited! I love taking care of babies and I love the fact that you don't have to be perfect for them, they love you no matter what.

Is there some way to use both of the names? That is too bad that there is going to be disagreement over the name. I agree with blessed in that the person who has carried the child for 9 months, and has gone through the pain, and will live with, feed, clothe, and shelter the child for the nex 18+ years should be able to name them. I have a younger sister named Abigail Joy.

i have this really kinky hair. thing is, i wash it all too often to keep it clean and fresh smelling. but when i wash it, i curls up tight and is uncombable. sometimes i wish i had lustrous hair like caucasians and asians. but well, at least i can do afro...that is a plus i guess. everything has its pluses and minuses.
oh, and is it alright to braid hair with synthetic braids, according to the Word?

blessed
01-10-2006, 04:02 PM
im not sure some ppl do and some don't, i braid my with synthetic sometimes if i want it to stay but i don't do any wordly styles just simple braids and i use the same color as my hair so it does not really show

marichino_freedom
01-10-2006, 07:12 PM
sometimes i wish i could do lots of braids in my hair, but it is SUPER THICK (i cannot stress this enough), but the texture of it is weird, and its half straight, half wavy and takes to long to do much to. when i brush it, 5 minutes later it is snarled again.....its exasperating. i even use detanglers and lots of conditioners

I think it is fine. There are colored sisters in my church that do it, and ones that are not colored. I don't think it's wrong, especially if it's the same color as your hair.
