Ok, I did the scary thing, and started my own thread. About me.
I've been on here a little while, but had never got around to putting up my own thread. So here it goes.
My name is Alysa. I'm 22. I live in Australia (just in case you couldn't tell that by the thread title). I work as a receptionist/secretary at a Christian school. Most of the time I love it... especially during school holidays!
I love the Lord with all my heart, and am so thankful that He lead me to this end time message. It truly is life!
My friends mean so much to me, and I love making new friends, and spending time with the old. The problem is, they're scattered all over the world, so seeing them means spending time travelling! Travelling would be my favourite pastime, if I had to name one. I can't wait for that great day when we'll all be together, for eternity.
More about my everyday life and adventures can be read on my xanga site (http://www.xanga.com/alysa21). Yes, I'm a xanga fan... which is why I aren't always posting in here!
Feel free to ask questions, interogate, torture... whatever! Won't always have time to answer straight away, but you won't scare me away. Promise.
YAY - An Aussie! :yay:
The forums are gonna step up to a new level of fun-nes, I can just tell!

Ha, thanks Joe. It's great to know that some people out there actually know that Aussies are fun people, and not a bunch of bogans like Steve Irwin. Haha.
Oh look, I found an Aussie smilie! How thoughtful. :Australia:
And Blessed... do you really think that you can drag me away from xanga? Have you seen my site... I'm pretty addicted to it. Except no one has updated today... so I'm on here.
Piano Man... thank you! And, I'm trying hard not to be shy!
Lily... thanks for clearing that up. I was beginning to wonder... haha!
Well, first day back at work after a week long off. And I'm already bored. No new emails... not even junk mail. And nothing new on xanga. Nothing. You all should go there and leave me comments.
Oh, I do have a very full in-box. But after being on holiday... I just don't feel like it. :no-no-no:

Hello, hello and hello again. A big hearty welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here. Let me get in my normal questions before college girl comes and scares you away lol...
Do you have any siblings?
Why is Australia dominating the Commonwealth games?
Football or Rugby?
Hot chocolate or coffee?
Why is pink called a girlie colour?
Do you drive?
If yes what care do you drive?
What would your dream car be?
Why don't we fly in cars yet?
denim or linen?
What are you plans for this year-if the Lord should tarry?

Questions.... yay! Was wondering when they would start flooding in.
Yep, I took "azurity" from the word "azure." Which means clear blue sky, and we have alot of that in Australia. I just liked the sound of it.
Now for Lizzie's questions!
Yes, I have 5. 5 little brothers. Send all the sympathy cards you think necessary.
'Cause Australia is the best? Or because it's been held in Australia? Or because we're just too good at sport for the rest of the world? C'mon... England's coming second. Or third. Don't feel too bad.
Football. AFL. Aussie Rules. Not soccer like you have there.
Coffee!!! Tho, there is nothing better than a hot chocolate on a cold winters night. Coffee is for any other time of the day and year.
Cause it's pretty. And baby girls are always dressed in pink.
I guess you could call it that. It gets me from one place to another.
What care, or what care? :-D I drive a 2000 Daewoo Nubira.
Holden Vecra CDXi. Awesome car. I think it's actually a Vauxhall (spelling?), for you Europeans.
Cause there's too many stupid people on the road that haven't learnt how to drive properly. Once we get the driving right, then we'll be flying.
Denim. My denim skirts are my favourite, tho 1 linen one would be nice!
Firstly, breathe. Eat. Sleep. Pray. Read. Listen. Work. Earn money. Shop. Drive my car. Travel! Lord willing, I'm planning on visiting America in June. That will be an experience in itself! I have more time off in December, and I am debating whether to go back to Western Australia for the 4th time in 4 years, New Zealand for the 3rd time in 2 years, Queensland for the 2nd time, Sydney, or Europe for the first time! Will have to see how the $$ go.

Hey people, this is MY thread.... go get your own!

Is it coz you try and block out all the stuff that you're menat to do and then find urself doing it in a rush at the very last minute? Coz that's me to a T . I did mean to type car and football is not soccer. Thats what crazy people who have no concept of the game call it  The World Cup is this summer :yay:. I don't mind that Australia is winning the commonwealth games. At least England isn't putting itself to shame so its all good.
Do you work for a big company or a medium sized one or a little one?
P.s sympathy x1, sympathy x2, sympathy x3, sympathy x4 and sympathy x5. Are you the oldest child?
azurity
03-21-2006, 07:45 PM
Haha Lizzi, you are funny!
Thanks for the sympathy, I need it! Yes, I'm the eldest.
Yeah, there is heaps to do, but I heaps to do, but I just don't feel like working. So I'm doing everything else.
Actually, not in the best frame of mind today. Everything that could have went wrong on the way to work did. I had to get fuel, and kept getting caught, so it made me late.
I guess I work in a medium - large company. Depends how you look at it. There are 16 of us in the office. Then there are about 80 staff all up. And about 600 students. Which is around 380 families. So it's small enough to be cozy, but big enough to be interesting. Know what I mean?
Ok. So I am a crazy person who has no concept of the game. Not at all. Except that they have to kick goals and the goalie has to stop it, and the goalie is the only one that is allowed to use their hands. And the score is usually 1-2 which means it's a pretty boring game, and in South America they have huge riots if their team doesn't win. That's all I know about it, so I'm going to call it soccer. :D
Footy on the other hand... is a totally different game. Not that I like it much either.
And... guess what. We're still winning. I think.

Yeah, stick around. I enjoy reading your posts on here as well as on Xanga.
Nick
Hey, now I found your topic.... I hadnt had so much time to go all topics through, because of these exams... but, hope, I'll get more into this stuff on next week, when it all will be over with high school!!! (hope so, if I dont fail any exams... :P )
So, your dream-car... I cant remember its name... :P But, I think, it's Opel Vectra in Europe, what I checked it out from Google... (I've to admit, that I like a bit of it too... especially the GTS-model :peep: like this: http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/2005geneva/opel_irmscher_vectra_02.JPG and http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/2005geneva/opel_irmscher_vectra_01.JPG )
Again, I am going to cars..... :S Let's change the topic!! :P
So, few questions in turn for ya...
Have you ever met a kangaroo? I think that those are really funny animals!!! it's awful, what I've heard, that they are poaching them... :( Is it true?
Secondly, how many members is in your family? (hmm, did you answer to this earlier... w/e, I am assuring this now....)
Thirdly, how many Message-believers are in Australia, about? I've heard not much at all about the christians on that side of world.... (I think, I've not asked this before... :P)
And fourthly, how many years you've been in the Message? (this I dont remember, that I've seen written by you... :) )
And now I have to try continue my maths practising, this final hour, so this post remains a bit short this time.... :S
Tomorrow is the exam of maths.... Please remember(you and everyone who reads this =) ) me and my exam-event in your prayers... I'd appreciate that! :) I am a bit unsteady in my knowledge on it but I know, a prayer changes things and it can help me through this exam fine!
God bless you, sis!

I am now a BonaFide Member!!
I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing. Do I actually want to be a BonaFide Member of a bunch of crazy people like this?
Brother Trev, I'll be sticking around for a little while longer, at least. No promises, tho! I'm just on here at the moment because my life & work is relatively quiet.
Piano Man... you read my xanga? Wow, I had no idea! Makes me wonder how many other people read it, that I don't know about.
ABC... wow man, your Vectra's are hotter than ours! I want, I want! That is one awesome car.
This is me in the Holden Vectra CDXi at the Melbourne Motor Show last year.http://tinypic.com/a25etx.jpg It was one nice car! They cost about $AU 50,000, so don't think I'll be getting one soon. But if anyone wants to donate one... I'll be most obliged!
Back in January, my car was getting fixed, and they gave me a courtesy car. Guess what. It was a Vectra, and just beautiful! I posted about it on xanga (http://www.xanga.com/Alysa21/422869455/item.html). Complete with pictures. And the link to the Holden Vectra website. Wow... the temperature at 5:00pm was 30degrees celsius. And it doesn't even LOOK warm. I miss those days!
Ok. Enough about my dream car. Next questions!
I have met a Kangaroo. His name was Clive. And he was rather nice, for a kangaroo.
I also met another kangaroo once. His name was Barbeque. His middle name was Steak. He was also rather nice.
It is true that kangaroos are "poached." But only in certain areas. There are many, many of them, and they cause awful damage for the farmers, eating crops, etc. Farmers don't like them at all. And they do make nice eating, because there is not one gram of fat in roo meat.
There are 8 members in my family. Dad, Mum, 5 lil brothers, and me.
Message Believers in Australia. This is a hard one. Not many, for sure. But then, we only have a poplulation of 20 million. I think there would be under 500 in the Message. From what I know of, there are 4 "Message" churches in Melbourne (not all of them believe the full Message) and this is the most for any one city in Australia. The totall for al of Australia would be around 15 churches, plus individual family groups that listen to tapes, or videos from elsewhere in the world. We had a camp here in Melbourne once, and with 5 of those churches attending, we had 200 people there. To us, this was just huge, and I think the biggest gathering of Message believers ever in Australia. Australia is a very hard, barren country, and for the most part, a bunch of raw heathens that worship sport, beer and... imoral living. That is why we don't have many believers.
New Zealand is a much smaller country, and I think they have alot more believers than we do. Even in the little towns, you will always find a few believers, if not 2 or 3 churches. It's so not the case in Australia!
I have been in the Message since I was 8. That would make it 14 years now, and growing stronger every day!
I'll pray for your maths, Brother ABC. (sorry, I've forgotten your name... ha!)
God bless you all!
And DJ... I just decided that you all needed a sane mind in here... :harhar1:

Thanks for the help, it's hard holding the place together by myself...
And sorry, didn't you read all the fine print when you signed up? Once you are here, you are trapped... no leaving ;)
Ahh, you forgot already my name.... :ng_thumbd :(
Okay, I am not sad... That happens... lol
It seems, like you are the member of sort of big family... :P So, how's it to be the oldest, and especially a sister? :P Does your brothers tease you sometimes? =D
So, you have churches, that doesnt believe the Message fully... that's sad... :( Why on earth they do that? I've not found anything yet on these books, that should be left outside... And I think, it doesnt end really well by doing so... :S However, it's still the Word from God, spoken out by His Prophet...
Yea, I think, in every country, you have same heathen things up, they do all things, which is bad before the eyes of the Lord... But by His Grace we are lifted up from that dust! :D And especially we, who have got to know the Message, how blessed are we! =D
Oh, that's nice! I've been a christian about 9-10 years too... And still, there is a seed which wants to grow more and more everyday and one day it will blossom that The Great Planter will know, who will He catch with Him. :)
And thanks for prays... I am sure, that Lord helped me it through fine! =D
God bless you!

Joe... you Americans think us Aussies aren't sane?? Hmmm. That's ok. We pride ourselves in our craziness! (But I am sane. Just so the rest of you know. In fact, one of the meanings of "Alysa" was "sane one." There were other nicer meanings, as well.)
DJ... you think you're the sane one now? And this is coming from a Yank. (Sorry, had to steal Joe's line.)
ABC... I think your name was Kristian. But... I wouldn't want to insult you if it wasn't! It's pretty good being the eldest... although it still doesn't give you any rights to tell your little brothers what to do. As for tease me sometimes... no. They tease me all the time.
Yes... we are so blessed to have the Message! What you said was so true. Thanks for that. God bless you. I hope your test went ok!

maybe we should start a fast from the 4th demision.
7th - the LORD GOD
6th - paradise
5th - regions of the lost (sinners)
4th - tv, radio, internet... etc..
3rd - time
2nd - matter
1st - light
just so you know...
5th---> uses the 4th to contact us--- > [3rd, 2nd, 1st ]
I think that is why before tv and radio you don't see such problems
in society. there were problems but not as wide spread. I've also
researched studies on the effect of tv on young people so I'm not
talking out of my hat.

So they haven't closed this thread yet.
Tell me... did anyone miss me? Really?
Spamboy... I believe Brother Branham spoke about that in the message "Present State Of My Ministry." I should listen to it again.
I don't miss the internet when I'm not on. That's usually because I don't have time for it. When work gets busy, it leaves me really tired. When I get home, I don't want to get on the internet. I want to spend time with God, read my Bible, pray. I do get on the computer to listen to Quote Of The Day, but I find that if I spend too much time on here while I'm tired, then it gets depressing. I'd rather have a good nights sleep! (And I had a few of those. I was asleep by 8:30 some nights!)
So the question is... am I back? I don't know. I'll be around, I guess. I'll just post random stuff, here and there. I am just going to make sure it doesn't consume me, because there are other more important things in life!
