ok well let me cut to the chase:laugh:
well in my church there are 4 girls in my age group. But two of the girls are kinda....quiet and cut off from the rest of the church kinda. and the thing is our church is like a big family so everyone kinda knows everyone else somehow. now my problem is i need to find a way to communicate with them cos its always me trying to make an effort to go out of my way to talk to them. Other people in my church have noticed that they don't talk much but...i don't know. How am i going to like...how should i try to...talk to them...if you understand.
Please help me, i am soo stuck:(

well.... easter is coming up, perhaps handing out small gifts or treats to your friends after church and including them, maybe they will open up a little. Then, whenever you see them, smile and try small talk etc. then they may feel welcome to join into the rest of the group.

Have they always been to themselves? It could also be that they would rather be their own group...

No, as kids we had a group of 5 but as we all got to around 13/14/15 we all sorta split, the two girls as one group and the rest as another group.

I like the idea, but i need help on small talk. sometimes i just find myself asking about 3 or 4 questions and then silence proceeds and it is really hard, because it is an awkward silence:(

well, as for small talk, just comment on things that are currently going on or that recently happened, like the service, or school etc. I know what you mean though about those annoying silences between questions.... when you say something and they don't make the effort to return a question or statement, then perhaps it's their loss. Many times we can't make ppl. talk if they don't want to, so just leave it light and friendly...it may give them an incentive. The point is, is that you're doing your best to include them, and that what counts. If they don't respond... as I said, it's their loss. :)

How quiet is quiet? Are they slightly quiet like shy or do they not talk to any one at all? Describe the scene...
