i am doing a musical called 'a young pilgrims progress' for our youth camp.
its basically about young people and Grace.
it starts with Jesus coming out with arms stretched as music plays. then lights go off. when they come onpeople dressed in black(signifying sin) come on stage solomely. ethey start drinking gambling etc. as the lights go off, the noise gets louder then fades. then in the darkness, the voice of the prophet is heard talking about grace and predestination. someone with torches lights some people in the mess on stage(Grace) and they stand. here, the song amazing grace is sang. after this, they fall on the altar singing please forgive me. then Jesus comes with white sheets and covers them. when they go back to preach to their friends, they start being pulled back. as they are being pulled, their sheets fall halfway. then they sing a song i composed which is a cry to Jesus to help them as they cant do it themselves. Jesus comes and breaks the bonds between the hands of them and the worldly people while singing 'hold on my child'. then they come back and praise Him for His greatness. afterwards, they go back and testify. one person comes out of the world(he was also torched up but he didnt rise). they then sing 'my anchor holds' when the world tries to pull them back again. after that, the whole choir sings 'let me be a living testimony'
