I wish we had a younger, smaller version of YQ News. I babysit for a 2 year-old, 5 year-old, and 11 year-old and YQ News is over their heads. (Of course it's over the youngest's head. lol) I just wish I had something bright, colorful, entertaining, and yet Message-based to bring them.

Just a thought in case somebody wants to run with it..... :)

Man, that's an awesome idea. I just wish I could do it. We'd have to have someone who could draw a lot of cartoon like stuff and lezzee... time! Yes, we would have to have time. lol But yeah, if ever anyone stepped up to the plate, I'd luv to see it done.

It's a great idea, but you don't want them to get too hooked on the computer. You would want something more like those placemats that they give out at restaurants. Something that they could color on, and write on, and store and drive their mom nuts on b/c there are so many laying around. Yeah, somthing more like that. But, it could be available on the computer, something that the older siblings could print out, and even access again and again. New pictures to color, Bible based, with simple crossword puzzles. If you need more ideas, go to Bob Evans and ask for a kids menu. They might like it more, b/c it is more on their level. Interactive computer is kinda over their heads.

Say, maybe if I ask Christian Samuri and hollikins84, maybe they will help make your job easier. LOL :D I'll Supervise.

All I can do is provide the software and the website - oh, and the branding namehttp://www.yqnews.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif . I don't have a whole lot of time myself, and and I'm really only going to get less. I could act as advisor - but that's about ithttp://www.yqnews.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif

But hey, if anyone wants to run with it, I think it's a great idea. The younger the child, the more impressionable they are. The more we can give them in those formative years, the better their chance is of staying pure from the world's smut.

collegegirl

I will also try to help. Is there someway that you can set up an ideas board for it? Where people can post specifially to that section just for ideas for the younger ones, and submit art and such?

Christian-Samurai
11-04-2005, 02:20 PM
Well I think first that there should be a ring leader to setup what they think they will need and then any other ideas that other may have can come in. So who would be running this show lol

collegegirl
11-04-2005, 03:48 PM
Well, JoeC/editor has already stated that he can't cause he is too busy. What about you, Christian? You have the expertise, the skill. Do you think like a little kid? LOL :D We can start like a board, and have members, one is the president, the others in charge of different departments, like Bible verse, or little story, etc.

I have my hand raised too. No hiding. Do you remember the Bible stories about the people that hid when the Lord gave them a work to do? LOL :D  (BTW, that actually says Samuri for Prez):D

collegegirl
11-05-2005, 12:51 AM
Let me clarify. Hand raised in favor of Samuri for Prez. I make a motion. I say Samuri. Does anyone second the motion? :buhbye:

AHHHHHHHH I nominate someone smarter than I am, which should cover everyone else on the globe lol :D

collegegirl
11-05-2005, 01:15 AM
Isn't that just like Moses? He nominated his brother Aaron, b/c he didn't think that he was good enough for the job. We never said that you had to do it yourself. In case you haven't been listening, we have been saying that it would be a group effort, we would just need someone to head the pack. You wouldn't be doing it all yourself. :handshake

Christian-Samurai

Moses how did he get in here? well its kinda nice to be compared to him I guess sure he had his ups and downs but still he had a big part in the bible :D

Hey you no peeking. I found this spot to hide go find your own hehehe
Remember, you were hiding, and you also said that you weren't good enough for the job. Wasn't that the case with Moses as well?

I agree - the person most heading this up so far has been collegegirl. She seems to have the qualities for leadership and Samurai has the talent for drawing.

HMMmmm...

Just wanted to say that I still think this is a good idea! lol ;)

Anyway, I don't have a lot of time since I have a 3-month-old baby, but I will do whatever I can to help- as long as Nathanael will let me have a little time to myself! lol
