QUIET YOU! Talk like that is going to get me blasted from every pulpit in the land:eek: ... lol
Ahem, let me clarify. The relationship forums are a place to talk about relationships. The Guy/Girl forum is no more a place to meet your special someone than the "Family" forum is to find a new family if you're an orphan.
So, in any of the relationship forums feel free to try to work out the complexities of relationships with other members, ask for advice and how your peers handled similar situations, or just generally vent.
Of course, the survival of this forum or any other forum is depedant on popularity and content. If no one uses it or it is continually misused, we'll have to shut it down.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Editor,
JC
P.S. Of course, if you just happen to meet your special someone here, I can't stop that... but please, no threads titled "Blonde & Blue" or "Long Hair & Lonely."

Interesting description.... now who was described as studly
collegegirl
10-29-2005, 09:52 AM
snoopy was, and I just wanted to clarify that way you guys knew what the word meant. I don't use the word any more except for horses, (we live in horse country), because I knew what the bad connotation was, and I didn't want to be taken the wrong way. I knew you guys were using it correctly, but you know that the Bible says to "obstain from all appearances of evil".
Yeah, I when I first heard the word, I looked it up. When I found out what it could mean, I stayed away from it, but then the guys at church started using it in the right way - so I did too :D . I've never mmet anyone who took me wrong, and until I do, I'll probably still sprinkle my vocabulary with it.
Truth be known, if we canceled every word out of our vocab that has a bad connotation, we wouldn't have much left. Our culture is so sexualized.

I know, and I hate that. I don't like the way that they can take something good, or something normal, and turn it bad, but then again, there is the influence of satan, where he takes the good and perverts it. What can we say, we are living in satan's eden.
blessed
10-29-2005, 07:41 PM
That's true collegegirl we are living in satan's eden. I long to be on the other side where there is no sin, but i take courage there is a purpose that i am here and as the song said "We're going home in the morning" and"Soon and very soon we are going to see the King oh Soon and very soon we are going to see the King"
Lord Bless u all i hope one day i'll get to meet u all if not here definetly on the other side make sure to look for me i will be singing "Amazing Grace" very loudly cause its by His amazing grace why i am here today.
God richly Bless u till we meet
collegegirl
10-30-2005, 05:45 PM
Whether we hear you singing or not, we will all eventually meet someday, because we have eternity to spend together. Then, because we can all sing perfectly, we will harmonize with you, because that is the song of every Christian.

I know what you mean. I am the piano player at our church. :musicians Sorry, there weren't any others. Do you happen to play an instrument?
blessed
10-31-2005, 09:16 PM
WEll i play the piano, well sort of :) , im learning but there really isint anyone to play on Sunday evenings so that leaves me most of the time. i think im coming along ok. But i still have some awful times.
Your church must be really noisy on Sundays :D
collegegirl
11-01-2005, 06:29 PM
Actually... :D
No, sometimes it is hard to get the people to even clap in time to the songs, (but then again, over half of the church is family, and you know that when you make a mistake, or try to get them involved, you know that you have a very supportive/eager group (NOT)).
When I first started playing for the church about a year ago, I wasn't all that good, but I know that I have improved. You will too.
blessed
11-02-2005, 11:06 AM
Lets hope so, sometimes i get discouraged, what would make it a lot easier is if the ppl will clap and sing the song the way it is supposed to be done and actually listen to the music and not do their own thing.
But i know the Lord has been helping me and he will continue to help me.

Christian-Samurai
11-04-2005, 02:17 PM
MY brother is trying to learn the guitar and he is the only music we have. LOL its interesting since I am the song leader, I have to let him get the song started because he will get lost otherwise. My mom tries to keep him in step when he plays with her tambourine. Sometimes it works sometimes it dont. Mom wants me to try to learn the piano, she figures my two younger brothers didnt like it maybe I will lol.
collegegirl
11-04-2005, 03:42 PM
Why not? You just might like it, though it will be kindof hard to lead songs and play the piano at the same time. LOL :D I have a hard time singing and playing at the same time, because I will lose my place, or I will mess up, though I am getting better. But I think everyone should learn to play an instrument. When you can play the piano, you can also play the harpsicord, the organ, and a bunch of others, because they are all in the same instrument family. The next instrument I would like to learn would be the harp. I am trying to get one. I absolutely LOVE them. :)
Christian-Samurai
11-04-2005, 04:15 PM
maybe but i think i will wait till we get past the guitar learning part then they can focus all on my mistakes and not both together although i could alway blame him and say he is makeing me mess up hmmmm lol :D

11-04-2005, 05:27 PM
Hey! :hey!: I am a musician too! But I can honestly say, I cause about 1/2 of all my mistakes in playing, (usually it is when I am not paying attention,:headphone LOL), and the other half is the other's fault.

The thing about it is i really like the piano im learning to play on my own by ear somtimes its perfect and then other times its arrrggggg..... But i have a great desire in my heart to learn to play it and the Lord has been blessing me in that i am able to pick the songs correctly.:)
Some ppl in church even commented on my improvement i just ask the Lord to help me b4 i play and he does. I wonder if that is my calling, my other great desire is to learn to sing well... that one is not going as well as the piano thing :)
bye bye :greetings
