I am a fan of stratagy games like the close combat series. I like age of empires, madden, hockey, baseball. I have played MOH before on a small LAN setup and liked it.
Although I must say that one of my most favorite games ever was the old colonization which was made back in like '92.

About the only two games I've played recently are Age of Empires 3, and Need for Speed Most Wanted. I used to play a lot of the first person shooters, but they don't really interest me a whole lot any more. I've been a fan of the AoE series since it first came out. I really like the whole real time strategy thing, and it's lots of fun when you can get together with people you know and play online. Need For Speed is another series that I've enjoyed since I don't know when. I like going fast, and it's fun dodging the cops. :zoomzoom:

As you can see by my sig, I like space flying games ;) Unfortunately there aren't many good ones around anymore... my top game of all time is AoE 2, it has the best gameplay of any game I've played. Otherwise, I'll play just about any game out there, except for the ones that are not very Christian...

I like real time strategy. Currently working on Red Alert 2, been through Tiberian Sun, but didn't like generals. I have a copy of the first AoE and am going to go through that won next.

I enjoy strategy cast in the Middle Ages, so AOE: The Conquerors is a winner.

I also like two player battle games. CTR, as you all know, gets mine and SpamBoy's blood going. I would enjoy a strategy game like one on one sniping (think Borne)... I don't know what they'd call those.

There's another FUN little game called Pocket Tanks (http://www.blitwise.com/ptanks.html). We can play it online if you buy the deluxe version.

Pocket tanks is cool. I remember that game from LOOOOONG ago.

15.99 for deluxe? Is it THAT cool??

Have you played the pocket tanks or just something in the simlitude of it? (the concept has been around for some time.)

The one I played was one of my early childhood games on the computer.

Windows 3.1x days.

You only had one kind of bullet if I remember, and you used trajectory, accounted for windspeed, and power to try and hit your opponents stationary tank.

Looks like an interesting game, spamboy... I used to love online games like that. Plus it's space-based... I'll have to check that out too sometime :)

I signed up and am trying it out... looks interesting....

It's cool that almost everything is linked to the help page that tells you about it, so you don't wonder what everything is. So what advice do you have for a new player? I have 2000 PP left after doing some initial upgrades and building a couple ships... any suggestions on what to put it towards?

MSN would be the place to discuss.
There are many stratagies in the game...

Hotshot's TIME would be better spent UPLOADING 50 photos so that we can all get personalized tags or whatever we call them!!!

I would have asked you on MSN spamboy... except I don't have your MSN info.

And the game doesn't take much time at the beginning, so don't worry Bro Trevor, the pics will go up eventually... I already started making some comments :)

Does anyone remember a really cool FPS called Wolfenstein, and it's counterpart Spear of Destiny? or maybe i'm just older than I think I am....

Actually the first castle wolfenstien was anythign but a FPS...or maybe I'm older than I think I am.

I feel like such an idiot sometimes.

Zion wanted me to play computer last night so he could watch, but I didn't get to finish the level of AoE (original) I was playing, so after everyone went to bed, I stayed up and finished it.

To make matters worse, I was having such fun...I started another one.

2 AM and I went to bed. I'm not so used to that anymore...my eyes hurt a bit.

2 cups of coffee this morning, not just one.

Strangely, I'm not really tired...just a bit...foggy.

Lol, you don't want to know how many times my dad went to bed at 2 AM after playing AoE.....

My dad's not a pc gamer. I should probably be thankful. :)

Not to rain on anybodies parade but does anyone else feel that computer games can be harmful to a persons spiritual walk. I just found that computer games can be so incredibly addicting. For example If I get into a game like Age of Empires or Simcity I can play for hours.

That is why I dont have any computer games it seems like a potential spiritual disaster I dont need. Dont get me wrong I am not saying it is wrong this is just my opinion. If you disagree just dont listen. I'm just wondering what other people think.

You are right. They can distact from our walks, but so can many other things. Anything taken to an extreme can harm you, not just video games. That however, I don't think, means that we can't play video games and like them.

Hey guys,
I used to play many of those games that you guys are talking about.
When I played them it was too hide from all my problems. There is no difference between playing a Video game and killing something (depending on the game), or watching some voilent movie and feeding off the same thing. Both these foster nothing that is productive toward spreading the message, or being a Christain. Could you imagine Jesus (Our Saviour) playing one of these games? If his spirit is within you, should you not do the things that he would? I'm not trying to scold, but I have been traped in "Games" for many years, and all it is a spirit that draws you away from your walk with the Lord. Thats my opinion, whats yours?
