i typed in : cry : that is (without the spaces) that is how i got it, i don't have the option to select smilies or even bold, color, or do any thing at all with my text

okay, I had something like this. This is a software issue, so I need to know what programs you run on you computer on a conistent basis.

OK, I think I might help you. First, somehow your setting got messed up, so your default text box was plain. I set is to the delux version. Try responding to this posts and see if that does it for you. If not, follow the steps below.


Assuming you use internet explorer, restart you computer.
When Norton opens up, close it.
Open IE.
Go to tools, internet options, delete files, click on "delete all offline content", ok, delte cookies, ok.
Now, go to one of the threads and post.
only after you succesfully posted with smilies and everything do you load Norton.
