well it's not what it sounds like. (no u don't get into a barrel and roll down a hill). Ya'll may know this but it is when three barrels are in a arena and you get a reallllllllllllllllly fast horse that can run the barrels with the fastest time

that's what the pattern looks like. you run around 400 ft in all. my fastest time was 16 seconds

Barrel racing is awesome! I like watching it on the televised rodeos. *cough* You know - at hotels...

Not only does your horse have to be fast, he also has to turn on a dime without knocking over those barrels.

I am so jealous. I get to ride a horse... umm... about once a year. If that. *sigh*

Welcome, redeemed. My cousin does barrel racing, and I have been to a rodeo, and have seen barrel racing, and bull riding, and all of that other stuff. My other cousins do thoroughbred breeding/racing/training. My 2nd cousin was the first woman jockey to win over $1 million in purses. Anyways..enough of that.

yes i have 2 of my own horses. (we have others). on is full quarter and the other is quarter-thouroughbred. one is Sassy the other is Cheyanne.Sassy is coal Black and Chey Chey is a sorrel. they both are about 15 and a half hands. yes i like cowboy hats. denim skirts and culottes yes. Yes i like red but my fav color is baby blue. I like unsweetened iced tea. no i do not drink coffee. I have a brother but he is in college so i hardly ever see him. My hair is blonde. baby blue. i like oatmeal. either get married or be a equine vet but really the Lords will. I love to travel but don't get to do a whole lot. Never in a different state. the houses that i've lived in have always been within 30 miles of each other. I was searching the internet for Bro Branham sites and found this. yes i have but then again if u ride u will no getting around it. when i was 5 my dad cinched up my saddle and didn't tighten it enough and i fell under the horse. then i've been bucked off. that one time is the only time i ever fell off though

I have slid off a horse before. I hate the way that the western horses have the bouncy trot. I will post in a western saddle, that is how much I hate it. :D LOL

we've had my barrelhorse since i was like 1 but i got her when i was 9. my other horse i got a year ago when my other horse died. (did that make sense??) we live on a ranch that my dad manages and he really wanted this job 10 yrs ago because of all the horses he would get to deal with. he's had horses since he was a kid and my grandpa was a equine vet (he only dealt with horses). so yeah i think we're really into horses

That is really, really cool. We had a horse once, an appoloosa, (I think that is how you spell it), and then my grandfather had had a tennessee walker, and my mom had a horse, but I don't remember what it was. And my family on my mom's side is like really, really into horses. Someday maybe I might have one....
