View Full Version : My Intro:

I joined this site to check it out for my children, a son 15 and a daughter 12 and one 10. I was reading thru the posts and came upon your introduction. Please, I hope I don't offend anyone for being fourtysomething, old enough I guess to be most of your mothers. In the end we will all be the same age, so I won't let it trip me, cause I still feel young and will be again. But I just wanted to tell you how touched I was by your two ministers blog! It was very fine and I would be so pleased for my children to be exposed to such sincere hearts. God Bless you Brother. Thankyou for your stand for the Lord. Sister Lynn

Welcome to the forum :) Don't worry about being older than the rest of us... "youth" can be defined pretty broadly ;) Among the currently active members, I think the age ranges from 15 - 27....

Oh, and praise God for parents that check stuff out and get involved in what their kids are doing. (especially on the internet) I know WAY too many that have no clue what their kids are doing on the internet. God Bless you richly, your kids are blessed to have a fine Godly mother.

Littlelamb appears to be her daughter, from my quick glance at the member list it doesn't look like her other 2 children have signed up yet.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am so excited about this forum. I have been reading the girls threads. It is so encouraging to read that there are godly young women out there to be examples to my little ones as they are coming up. I have been telling my son about this site so he will be checking it out too. His name is Isaac. He is going to be going to the Louisiana camp this year for the first time. So perhaps he will make some friends there. Bless you all! Sister Lynn :)

Ok, just because she has kids on this forum, I don't think disqualifies her from being interrogated? At least a little?
So here goes...
SIs Lynn,
1)Coffee: Medium or dark roast?
2)Coffee: Piping Hot, or wait till it's cool enough to drink.
3)Tea: Sugar, cream?
4)If you lived back in those times, would you have taken the oregon trail out to Oregon and started a farm in that fertile country.
5)Did you ever play the computer game "Oregon Trail"
6) What is your favorite bird? (besides a dove or eagle!)
7) If you were to choose a flamingos color, what would it have been (obviously other than pink!)
I think that's enough for now....
-Trevor
You forgot to put question marks.

I'm still new at interrogating. Thanks for your constructive criticism. I shall take it into account for next time.

1)Coffee: Medium , Hazelnut please!
2)Coffee: Piping Hot, definately
3)Tea: I like ice tea plain and hot tea sweet.
4)Oregon Trail? Oh my, I like my dishwasher and refridgerator and my washer and dryer and my microwave too much. Ouch, All those bumps and ruts in the trail, not for me!
5)Did you ever play the computer game "Oregon Trail" No, never have.
6) What is your favorite bird? (besides a dove or eagle!) But I love mourning doves they are my favorite. I love their sad song, and the fact that they mate for life. You always see doves in pairs. I love eagles too they are all over my house! But if I had to choose a bird of another type, it would be a beautiful spring Robin. I love to see them come they tell me winter is over. Hopping around trying to find sticks for her nest and worms to feed her babies. I love the story that Brother Branham tells of how the Robin got her red breast. She got it from trying to take the nails from Jesus' wrists thus her red breast is colored for the red blood he shed for us on calvary!
7) If you were to choose a flamingos color, what would it have been (obviously other than pink!)
I guess I would make it iridescent like a rainbow. Glorious!
How did I do, I didn't know I was gonna get interrogated! :harhar1:
Thanks for including me, it was fun! Sister Lynn

Pretty much everyone who makes a thread in the intro section gets interrogated.. it's one of the rights of passage ;) Though that was an easy interrogation... the big interrogators are on vacation now...
BroTrevor

Yeah, I a new interrogator...
I don't think I was born with the interrogation "spark" but I try real hard.

Sis, I hope you plan on coming back. I am going to "interrogate" you...but not too hard. :D
Do you like specialty teas
Do you like silver spoons, (my mom does)
do you play volleyball at all
do you play a musical instrument/sing
would you ever go back to school
have you ever been on a cruise
would you ever like to go
do you like sunrise or sunset
do you consider yourself "computer literate"
do you think question marks take away from the whole concept of being interrogated, or do you think it would add to the experience
How did you hear about YQ
What are your expectations?
are you planning on coming back frequently?
There, it wasn't too bad. So good to hear that the "older" crowd really approve of the site. Thank you. Please, don't be a stranger, and remember us in the girl's only, as it says in 1 Timothy, (I believe) about the older sisters teaching the younger. Feel free to insert advice/experiences/revelations you have on things. God Bless, and I look forward to getting to know you better.

Do you like specialty teas? I love mint tea. Especially on a cold winter night.
Do you like silver spoons? I wasn't born with one in my mouth for sure. I have never had much silver so I can't really judge if I would like it or not. I don't think I would like to have to polish them all the time.
do you play volleyball at all? I used to love to play volleyball. I had a killer serve.
do you play a musical instrument/sing? When I was a kid in school I played the flute for a while. I love to sing. I am a high saprano. I sing specials at church and love to sing with the congregation.
would you ever go back to school? I am thinking of going back to school now. I love to learn and always do well in class. I recently took a computer course to learn Microsoft applications and I was the top student in my class.
have you ever been on a cruise? No but I have always wanted to. I hear the buffets are yummy!
would you ever like to go? I don't think I would want to go on one where everyone was half naked. I will have to go on one chartered by Message Believers. Wouldn't that be fun.
do you like sunrise or sunset? I really love sunsets, I would love sunrises too but I don't usually get up in time to enjoy them.
do you consider yourself "computer literate" Sure and If can't figure it out Turtle Guy is an expert, and He helps Momma with all her computer needs.
do you think question marks take away from the whole concept of being interrogated, or do you think it would add to the experience? Well I don't type the figures very well so I might be tempted to leave them off it was me is this your problem?
How did you hear about YQ? This forum is listed on the Messagelinks. That is how I found it. I think I have read the youth quake news and seen the publication somewhere.
What are your expectations? I want a safe edifying place my children can go to to fellowship with Christians of like precious faith from all over the place. Where they can learn from others and gain insight into their Christian walk. A place To make good Godly friends, to laugh and have fun, they are kids after all. Very soon my almost ten year old is going to make her appearance. Does anyone have a good idea for a really cool nic for a sweet little 9 1/2 year old who's favorite two sentences are "I'm bored" or "Can someone play with me?" Her Name is Naomi.
are you planning on coming back frequently? Absolutely, whenever I have time, I will stop in to read the threads and find out whats going on on the forum and to monitor how my children are expressing themselves.

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed this place. I have great respect for you all and am so glad to find such Godly young people in this message!
