This post is in response to the manner in which conversations on the forum "Relationships - Guy/Girl" have been headed.
Due to the nature of male-female interactions, there are inevitably many questions that arise. These questions have been surfacing in various threads throughout this forum. The administration would like to remind it's posters that there is a proper way to pursue counsel.
One does not pursue counsel only by asking one's peers. Quite the opposite - peer advice should be the least sought after counsel. The proper way to seek out counsel is to ask those who God has placed in your life as a governing authority. If God placed them in your life as headship, then He has prepared them with the knowledge to wisely oversee your life.
The people you should seek counsel from is first your parents, then your pastor, then, if need be, an elder brother or sister in your church. Then, after doing this, it is fine to collaborate with your friends and peers on the matter.
We repeat: To derive a single source of counsel from your own peer group is unwise and is not biblical. Taking sole counsel from complete strangers is also unwise.
Thank you and please enjoy the forums in moderation and discretion.
