View Full Version : Just Leave It Alone: A Deceptively Simple Quote
...Bro. Branham said that if you had a question about something that was difficult to discern right or wrong, to leave it alone.
I love that quote. It's so profound and spans so many areas, giving us direction for many "grey area" temptations. I'll have to dig it up and post it here.
I do find that it is one of the hardest of Brother Branham's quotes to follow. It's like "Oh, I want to do this, but it feels like it might be wrong. But I'm not convinced that it's wrong. But given that I have a question about it, I should just not do it - even though I want to."
I mean, what a sacrifice, huh? Anybody picking up what I'm laying down?

100%!!! I get that all the time, I think that's where it's important to have the Holy Spirit, because it will remind that there's still a question there. I have to admit though, most of the time it's not so easy to choose doing what you know is right.
What I'm saying is it's especially hard to not do what you want to do becuase you have an inkling that it might not be right. To not do something that you really want to do not because it's wrong, but because it might be wrong? That's sacrifice man!

And it's even harder if the rest of the message crowd is doing whatever it is.

This all true! It's harder when other think it's ok, but you don't know. It's hard to decide.

Its really hard.. but every battle that is won with a lot of struggle really would bring fulfillment when overcome. also, the reward from above and for gain of the kingdom brings joy not only to oneself but with others.

i know. it is extremely hard. like i am having questions now about whether or not i should finish school. as in on whether i should go on up to phd seeing as i am a sister and all. it is a question i dont have an answer to. and trust me, it is hard. i wonder if it is ok, and i hope God will either give me the answer or give me the strength to make the sacrifice.

.. and choose especially when you're under pressure and when you really think the thing that bothers you is the right thing to do. we have to be careful with the choices we make. they may harm when they are incorrect and misguided, but edify and become a blessing when we seek out for the right one. if indecision pins us down, probably the best thing to do is let others(the right people) decide for us.

You are a designers original, created by the master with one purpose in mind to be a showcase of his Glory for the whole world to see.. so after that i don't think you should have any probs with self esteem

I read a story of 3 trees that had their own wishes and all of them came to pass for God's purpose.
