Thread life rules for forum "Welcomes & Introductions" are as follows:
Each introductory thread will have have a 2 week life span. That is to say, after the thread is started, is will be open for posting for 2 weeks. After such time, it will be closed to new posts, but still available for viewing.
The purpose for this forum is for newcomers to introduce themselves and to begin to feel comfortably acquainted with the community. Two weeks is plenty of time for this to happen.
If after two weeks the thread is still active, we request that you begin the thread in another forum that best relates to the current discussion, with a thread title that best describes the discussion. The thread will be closed 2 weeks after the starting date regardless of whether there is a discussion still taking place or not.
Threads that are older than 2 weeks as of this posting will be closed in two weeks time (1/27/06).
