Hee hee hee. :D I helped talk her into coming on here. And as for juicy info, I have a picture I need to post of our great overlord with a mock look of interest on his face, (aka sarcastic pose). I don't think that he knew that I took the picture....:D

She made her first post saying hi in the middle of another thread... I told her she should make a post here, but she said she didn't want to be that ordinary....

NeedGod
01-11-2006, 05:52 AM
oh it isnt ordinary? gee, and i have fit right in. mhhh, that must make me unordinary<<<is that an enlish word, i doubt it. anyhow, it all boils down to unique, and if you tried real hard, you could even bring it around to mean special. mhhh, why does it sound as though i am trying too hard to convince myself?

collegegirl
01-11-2006, 09:53 AM

Blood Washed Bride
01-12-2006, 01:09 AM
Amazing how far 'my' thread has gotten without me. Two whole pages! I almost feel special.

 'Extra-ordinary' would be the perfect word, collegegirl. (Camp joke - my apologies to everyone who wasn't there.)

Well, sorry to disappoint you all, but Josiah claims I'm only allowed on if I don't post personal details regarding his greatness :worthy: *cough* Once again, I finding myself apologizing to the general public. I hope this doesn't become a regular occurence.

So, does anyone actually want to know about me? And if so, what?

Jeni
01-12-2006, 01:11 AM

01-13-2006, 11:21 PM

Mick_Mack89
01-13-2006, 11:27 PM
I'm liking this, I wana hear at least one Joe story. And I'll get it one way or another ( ;)

Blood Washed Bride
01-14-2006, 03:24 AM
Perhaps I was disillusioned, but I was initially under the impression that my thread was supposed to be about me. Not my brother. That seems to be the way things are done in the other newcomers' threads. *sighs and pulls out a book entitled You Are Special In Your Own Right*

chocolateismybestfriend
01-14-2006, 03:32 AM
HAHA mel

i've yet to read someones introductory thread that is completely and utterly about them :P

NeedGod
01-14-2006, 04:20 AM
no ones introductory thrread is about them. i think that is because we are one in the body, so when you introduce yourself, you just join the body and become part of US

Blood Washed Bride
01-14-2006, 01:17 PM
I'm afraid I would have to disagree with that universal statement. Granted, very few introductory threads are solely about the person in question, but I have see one here and there that does center around the individual in essentials.

I am merely stating that mine fails to do that. Where some newcomers have been rigorously interrogated concerning everything from chocolate bar fantasies to toilet paper preferences, the only question I can recall being asked is, "What kind of dirt do you have on our overlord?"

In any event, you all have barely over a week to either find out random and outre facts about me or to get the whole 'Skeletons in Joe's Closet' topic out of your system.

Cheers!

HotShot53
01-14-2006, 02:46 PM
Lol, Melody's right, she hasn't been formally interrogated yet... so where are the interrogators?

blessed
01-14-2006, 06:52 PM
*pulls out the electric shocker, ties suspect hands to chair, sticks eyelid open with surgical tape..focuses bright light in suspects eye*

Let the interrogation begin.....

Blood Washed Bride
01-14-2006, 11:36 PM
:aaaah:

I can't believe I asked for this. lol

Mick_Mack89
01-15-2006, 12:22 AM
Wait a minute, she has to start her own thread, it's only fair

Blood Washed Bride
01-15-2006, 05:41 PM
Or not. If I do that, you'll get an extra week to interrogate me. And, I don't mind telling you, this chair is uncomfortable enough already.

Mick_Mack89
01-15-2006, 10:13 PM
Or not. If I do that, you'll get an extra week to interrogate me. And, I don't mind telling you, this chair is uncomfortable enough already.

Slacker

collegegirl
01-15-2006, 10:32 PM
Okay...even though I know alot about you, I still need to know. *focuses the bright light*

Okay, if you could re-locate to a tropical island, would you take joe with you? if you were forced to choose between red octagons and yellow triangles, which do you think would taste better? do you think that apples would be cooler orange than yellow, and oranges blue? if you could give the color purple a taste, what would it be, fizzy or full-flavored, if you could pull one outfit out of your closet, would it be a funky one, if you had to have a one-color wardrobe for the rest of your life, what would it be, do you like blue eyes or brown eyes better, would you be more comfortable in a room with 4 walls and 1 window, or 3 windows and 8 walls, if you could name your big toe, what would it be, do you have a favorite side of your face, what is your favorite shampoo, do you like the way that chapstick tastes, and if you do, please let us know so that we can taste it too, do you like sense and sensiblilty, or pride and prejudice, if you could assign a fate to the unmarried Mr. Darcy's friend's sister who married Jane, what would it be? would she be forced to wear clothes that actually looked good on her instead of making her look like she was ill half of the time, did you ever listen to Patch the Pirate, do you like toe socks or ankle socks better?

Enough for now.

Blood Washed Bride
01-16-2006, 02:33 AM
Whew, boy. *tries to wipe sweat off her brow then remembers her hands are tied to the chair* Let's see here...

1. Since Josiah happens to be the overlord, I'm going to say, "Yes! I'd love to have him along as my sole companion on a beautiful but deserted island!" *choke* Actually, I'm not completely opposed to the idea, but I doubt he'd be willing to leave his college courses and beautiful books in order to keep me company.

2. I'd have to go with the yellow triangles. They make me think of cheese.

3. I might be able to handle the colour change on the apples but definitely not the oranges. Blue? *shudders* I like certain things - foods, in particular - to retain their traditional appearance. I hated it when Mountain Dew imposed their 'new' look. Does anyone still remember the pretty dark green cans? *sigh* I don't even drink the stuff anymore, if that tells you anything.

4. Full-flavoured, for certain.

5. My outfit would be bright and cheerful, feminine but perfectly suited for extensive activity.

6. I love and admire grey eyes.

7. The decor in a room is more prone to set me at ease or on edge than the architecture.

Gah! How many of these are there?!?! Next time number then so I'll feel forewarned and (hopefully) adequately prepared. *starts counting the questions* Okay, looks like I'm halfway though. *breaths deeply* Just getting my second wind here. Alright, ready. *exhales*

8. Mr. Mistoffelees

9. Interesting that you should ask about the sides of my face. Did you know that some people are 'right-faced' and some are 'left-faced'? The features will tend to be more dominant on one side. Apparently, it reflects whether you are a creative person or a more logically oriented one. Don't ask me which one is which. I think I am 'left-faced', but as regards looks I prefer my right side. It's the one with my childhood scar and I feel it lends character to my features.

10. 'Aussie' (go figure)

11. I like the way my chapstick tastes. I do not like the way my mom's chapstick tastes. Therefore, I try to carry mine with me wherever I go.

12. Jane Austen's novels:
a) I've read Pride and Predjudice thrice. I have yet to finish Sense and Sensibility. I doubt that qualifies me as a sufficient judge. I prefer the A&E version of Pride and Predjudice over any other film based on any of Jane Austen's works. The dialogue in P & P is nothing short of sheer brilliance. My favourite part is the confrontation between Elizabeth and Lady Catherine. The unbridled wit! Jane Austen is my hero.
b) I will look past the wording of this question to the intent behind it. I should have her married to a equally snobbish member of the gentry, that they might grate on each other and perhaps in time realize their own faults. (ha! It's a feeble hope.)
c) I can only hope that in the span of a few months or perchance as long as a year the styles would alter (as they are wont to do) sufficiently for Miss Bingley to find clothes that would flatter her figure in a more demure way.

13. Yup, the tunes of Patch the Pirate have played upon these ears. The duties of a good babysitter and all that...

14. I don't actually own any toe socks, so once again I am ill-suited to be the judge. I'm not opposed to giving them a try. I would tend to choose whichever pair had the design I most favoured.

Well.... that wasn't too bad. Bring on the rest. (But would someone kindly let me sit on a cozy sofa in a dimly lit room for the next round. I would be ever so much obliged.)

blessed
01-16-2006, 12:56 PM
wow...this interogatee has been very coperative...we will think about the sofa, proving you give us all the info good and bad, preferably bad on Joe:D

Blood Washed Bride
01-16-2006, 01:07 PM
... if you had to have a one-color wardrobe for the rest of your life, what would it be ... ?

Whoops. I missed this one. (This is why bullets or numbered questions would be appreciated for the next bout. :D)

A: Iridescent

adj 1: varying in color when seen in different lights or from different angles; "changeable taffeta"; "chatoyant (or shot) silk"; "a dragonfly hovered, vibrating and iridescent" [syn: changeable, chatoyant, shot] 2: having a play of lustrous rainbow-like colors; "an iridescent oil slick"; "nacreous (or pearlescent) clouds looking like mother-of-pearl"; "a milky opalescent (or opaline) luster" [syn: nacreous, opalescent, opaline, pearlescent]

Seriously, I love colour too much to stick with just one. I do wear a lot of blue, though. And I've just discovered pink in the last couple years. The next colours I'm trying to add to my ensemble/wardrobe are bright green (I have a hat to match) and purple (which is a bit hard to find).

collegegirl
01-16-2006, 09:49 PM
Okay, so maybe I could do bullets.....

Blood Washed Bride
01-16-2006, 10:38 PM
*hugs collegegirl* Thank you!

HotShot53
01-16-2006, 11:47 PM
Lol, yeah, bullets would make it a little easier to follow the questions, and match the questions with the answers ;)

Mick_Mack89
01-17-2006, 12:44 AM
It's an interrogation people!!!! S'not supposed to be fun for the newbs.

Blood Washed Bride

HotShot53
01-17-2006, 06:14 PM
Lol, unlike a certain other person, who just had to reply to it ;)

NeedGod
01-18-2006, 06:35 AM
ha, and yet another person decided he too had to get in the very last word. oh :aaaah: , ok, this might never stop.

Mick_Mack89
01-18-2006, 03:35 PM
 umm... Don't you guys realize that there is no last word untill joe shuts this place down.

HotShot53
01-18-2006, 09:52 PM
Well, this thread is supposed to get shut down one week from Joe's anouncement.... so someone will get a last word in here ;)

HotShot53
01-18-2006, 10:09 PM
Correct that last post... it should say 2 weeks.

NeedGod
01-19-2006, 01:50 AM
really?, joe is shuutting down posts? well, thank goodness. there are so many of them here i cant keep up. now, no one post after this one so i can have the last word in, deal? :handshake

blessed
01-19-2006, 12:36 PM
exactly when will that be hotshot??

HotShot53
01-19-2006, 09:15 PM
According to the sticky thread, that will happen on Jan 27

collegegirl
01-19-2006, 10:53 PM
It can't come soon enough. LOL :D

HotShot53
01-19-2006, 11:01 PM
Nah, it can take it's time... posting has really slowed down the past couple days, so closing off threads right now would slow it down even further...

collegegirl
01-19-2006, 11:18 PM
So we start some new ones.

Mick_Mack89
01-20-2006, 01:42 AM
Yep. what she said.

collegegirl
01-20-2006, 07:23 PM
Well, then, come up with some new ones. Don't rely on us older posters to come up with everything. As part of the YQ family, you have to do your share as well.

HotShot53
01-20-2006, 09:04 PM
I've started some threads... though most of them seem to be about the post race or how many people are on....

collegegirl
01-20-2006, 10:51 PM
You should start one on how wonderful accounting is, or something you recently discovered, like how some cleaning products foam when you spray them and how cool that is, or wonder why some plants grow better in the sun, while others need more shade. Be creative. *puts a few drops of creativity in his drink*

HotShot53
01-20-2006, 11:10 PM
I'm afraid I'm immune to the creativity mixture... I've tried it often and it never works. I will try to think up some new threads.. we'll see if any brilliant ideas come along, though don't hold your breath...

Mick_Mack89
01-20-2006, 11:11 PM
I geuss thats why you work with numbers for a living, huh?

HotShot53
01-20-2006, 11:15 PM
Yep, pretty much. I'm a much better editor than writer.... and that's pretty how I am in all aspects.

Mick_Mack89
01-20-2006, 11:17 PM
I know what you mean by the editor bit. I'm so much better at taking someone else's idea and making it better.

collegegirl
01-20-2006, 11:18 PM
Kindof like fine-tuning something. That is a good thing.

HotShot53
01-20-2006, 11:29 PM
Lol, it is... until everyone thinks you are so critical of everything they do

Mick_Mack89
01-20-2006, 11:46 PM
Ye'up.........

JoeC
01-21-2006, 12:25 AM
I know what you mean by the editor bit. I'm so much better at taking someone else's idea and making it better.

Me too. I find that there are two broad categories of people: idea people and do-ers. The idea people need the doers to execute their ideas and the do-ers need the idea people to give them an idea to run with.

NeedGod
01-21-2006, 05:26 AM
ummm, i think i am both doer and idea person. i like to do everything myself.
