I'm sorry to hear that, most important thing to do is exercise, walk 30 minutes extra a day at least. another wieght loss thing is eating the same thing (healthy) everyday, so your body know exactly what to do with it. sounds boring I know.

I'm sure the boys are not reading in here.

i don't really have problems with losing or gaining weight....i could lose weight in just a few days without eating much and i can gain it back again when i do eat much :D.

what cause you to gain weight blessed? is it for sleeping too much or eating too much? you have to determine first the cause of why you gain a few pounds so that at least you have an idea where you would start when you want to lose weight :)

my new job is not as active as the last one and i also ate out a lot, and i think i increased the amount of junk that i ate. I went to a herb shop today and got a nutritional program im thinking about trying it ...even though it eliminates 90% of the stuff i eat

WATER! WATER! WATER! WATER!

I read a book about your body's needs, and it said that most of the problems caused in the body are related due to dehydration. There were stories of people who had diseases, and then when they started getting more water, they lost weight, increased memory when they had alzheimers, lots of other diseases that were, I hate to say it this way, but cured because they hydrated correctly. People who lost 20+ pounds just because they drank more water, (let me say this now, we UNDERdrink, and when I say increased water intake, they got the neccessary amount, and over, but not by too much as that could really thin out your blood, but when I say not too much, I am talking don't go drink 6 gal of water a day. ) BTW, I believe the book, because it had so many testimonials, and I believe that even some doctors put letters of reccomendation in there.

i read some tips in a magazine and it said if you are feeling "hungry", always drink a full glass of water first. they had other tips in there about weight control/loss....i'll post them soon.

also, try weight lifting. if you dont have dumbbells, improvise and use soup cans, milk gallons, etc. you could even exercise while you clean! (lunges while vaccuuming, etc.) just that little extra bit of activity a day will get your metabolism moving and you'll notice a change before you know it!

water Eating healthyand exersice, sounds good.

Detoxic-sounds scary. Fasting every once in a while is good for your body-praying while you do it is good for you soul. but I don't think you need to take that drastic of a measure(detox) for a few unwanted pounds.

dont starve yourself, dont cut a bunch of your foods out of your diet all at once or you will be weak, esp if your a sugar junky like me.

I want to lose a couple pounds - like 10. I'm not fat, i have a small frame, i'm only 5'3 but you get older (i know i know, i'm only 20) and fat likes to hang onto you.

I'm in no hurry, i'm just halving the junk food i eat - and drinking a TON of water - if i want chocolate i eat it, just not a whole block of it.
That isnt much of a diet change, but it works for me.

And learning to deal with STRESS - is a huge thing for me. Instead of stuffing my face, i go for a walk.

OBVIOUSLY everyone's body type is different and some have to work harder at it then others.

Needless to say, 1 month ago i weighed 55kg (121lbs) now i weigh 51 (112lbs)

It's doable girls, if you really wanna

Natural is the way to go!!! I was put on accutane for my acne and I have NEVER been on a worse medication. I suffered from alot of side effects just to get clear skin (painfully dry eyes, stiff joints, weight loss, and alot more) Yeah, my skin looked great but it was definately not worth it. In the last year I've really cut back on pop, junk food, etc., and it's really helped out with my skin and the extra weight.
The funny thing is, in my opinion, a lot of fruits and such seem to taste so much BETTER than junk food. I would definately perfer an apple over potato chips.

My mum can help you manage your weight and achieve your ideal shape. It's such a simple program. You can lose weight effectively-she has a nutritional program to control weight while eating some of the food you like without feeling hungry. If she could help you with products concerned with all these issues, would you be interested?

Yes, WATER WATER WATER!

AND...

FIBER FIBER FIBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fiber... hmmm... i could never finish telling you the benefits of eating fiber. Lots of fiber. Google it.

Hehehe, jk...

No, but seriouly, girls need to eat a minimum of 25 grams of fiber daily.
Fiber fills you up... gives you more energy because it slows down glucose digestion... and what else? It absorbs fat and helps the body eliminate it.

So yes... fiber.

Grains, cereals, peachy. *roll eyes* I am not a big breakfast eater, but I guess that I need to start getting to bed earlier to get up earlier to be hungry to eat breakfast.

Also, getting plenty of rest. I have heard that you do loose weight when you sleep. Something about the air you breath out...I dunno, I would have to look it up. Plus, my little sister eats candy like no tomorrow, and she drinks carbonated drinks, (she is going to be a coffee friek, I can already tell), but she is always running around, and she does drink some water, but she sleeps like sometimes over 9 hours at a time, whereas I sleep about 7 or so. SHe is now 12, and her complexion is clear, but when I was 12, mine wasn't all that great. And she keeps her hands off of her face. I don't.

Also, I hear that the sun does something for it. Get some sun as small amounts help even me. :D BTW, my complexion is the clearest that I have ever had it. I just need to continue working on it.

i have started eating like extra healthy and have lost almost ten pounds. ( it probably wasn't good for me but any way) so anyhow i eat a lot of fruit in the morning instead of eggs and hash browns and bacon. for lunch no matter what i have i normally have a big salad (same with dinner) I also cut out fast food for the most part. (usually if i eat out at fast food i go to subway or blimpie) Also i know everyone was kind of not agreeig with the idea of detox but i know people who have done it and lost 10 to 20 lbs. Also if you drink a glass right when you get up it starts your metabolism. well i think i said to much but i just have so many ideas! so i will be quiet now.

Sometimes a little weight gain isn't bad. We don't need to judge ourselves by weight. Many people have different bone types, etc. and that is a variable we have to consider. If you work out a lot, remember muscle weighs more than fat, so you might stay the same weight, or initially gain a pound or two at the start. Eating healthy is a good way to go though!

Thank you whoever was praying. although i still dont have much appetite, i am now eating some food and i dont feel like throwing up every time i eat breakfast. i used to feel like throwing up after breakfast and it was really bothering me. i am forcing myself to eat even when i dont feel like it.
the lack of appetite started when i got a bleeding problem and although the problem is gone(it was a miracle of prayer and belief)the eating problem persists.also because since i lost my job(i had to quit as it was for designing clothes and writing poetry that was against the Word...cultural type with suggestive terms)i have had to save luch money to buy myself material for skirts and other things.
but i have conquered it already before the foundations of the world in Jesus name.:yay:

(i find it easier to drink the table spoon and then drink the water because it goes down faster.) also it's not terribly expensive. hope that other stuff helps, and that the price for it goes down!! lol:)

My mom, my sister and I always get asked the question why are so slim.
We found out that if you don't drink pop for a week you actually lose weight. I tryed that for a week and I lost 5 pounds (not that i needed to lose weight) i just drink Milk and water. and walk for an hour almost everyday.
It also depends on your genes. My parents are both slim so all the Children in the family inheirted the slim genes.
I still eat what i did before but i don't have as much caffaine or pop.
I noticed that when i have pop everyday i'm not hungry as much. But when i don't have pop i eat more a day.
Walk and drink lots of water a day.

... i'm more into lifting weights but walking really helps.

Check this out, weight lifting for women is biblical! :tongue_sm

"She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms."
- Proverbs 31:17

In regards to loosing weight, I've lost about 10 lbs myself lately and haven't quite figured out the reason behind it. I mentioned this to a sister in my church and she told me it's because I'm in love. (Yeah, I am by the way, how about that :D) If that's true, it certainly is an interesting phenomenon. (A bit unfair to the guy too, if it's only temporary. lol JK)

So my recommendation: Fall madly and irrevocably in love! (I am soooooooooooo kidding)

However, I've virtually given up soda/coke products of all kinds and only drink them on very rare occasions. So maybe that's the REAL reason.

*shrugs*

blessed
06-07-2006, 05:26 PM
lol... so that's the key fall in love and you lose weight ha ha .... is that a good thing?

I have heard about the stay away from soda method and from what I hear it usually works and I do think that's the real reason.. Cause falling in love is kind of a hopeless case where I am concerned. :D

Blood Washed Bride
