Shipper Needed

Youth Quake News will begin shipping issues via post to those who do not have regular internet access. For example, a qualified recipient of this service would be the believers who sent me a letter asking if I could do this because they lived on an island off the western coast of Africa. There was no internet there and they hardly ever were able to get to the mainland.

Now, what I would love to see is someone who would take this upon themselves - to ship everything.

The Plan:

I would send you the mailing list and some petty cash.

Each issue that is realease, you would take to a shop like Kinkos and have them print you up some copies.

You would then mail these copies to those believers on the mailing list.

After all is done, you would send me the bill and a copy of every receipt (copying and postage). I would replenish the petty cash and reimberse you for any money you had to spend out of pocket.



Anyone interested in making this commitment?

Hmmm....I need to get you into contact with my dad. I have done mailing lists before, and we now have a printer where he prints stuff like fliers and stuff like that, and we do quite a bit of mailing. I don't want to take on too much, with school and all, but if you could work something out with my dad, I might be willing to do a list and some mailing. If you are interested, I will give you a number with which to reach him. YOu will probably want something from Bro. Paul Lafontaine like a letter telling him what you are doing, and why, and he approves it and such. Something like that might help him look a bit more favorably upon the project.

I don't mind doing it if you have someone very close to where I live, which you probably don't. Otherwise I'm too busy, but anyone in BC or Washington, Oregon, or California I would most likely be able to do.

If you need anyone else to send out the newsletter, I could send it wherever you need it sent. It's only a couple times a year, so it shouldn't be too time consuming, as long as Kinkos or the like can print them good for me...

Did you submit your address through the form on the front page of the mainsite?

If so, then yes, you are on that list. But why? Obviously you have regular internet access, so you really don't need it shipped to you.

The service is supposed to be reserved for those who cannot get on the internet very often (EX: Believers on an island with access to the internet only when they travel to the mainland).

It's also for those who cannot afford to print it out/do not have access to a printer, but would never the less like to share it with others.
If we sent it to everyone who would like a copy sent to them purely as a matter of conveinence, we would quickly be out of funds.

sorry, i am not offering to post any. but i woder if you can send me some copies. people here, the youth could do with these magazines. i could distribute them to the youth in church. even 7 copies would be enough, people would share. we would do groups where people read out loud.

If you cannot afford to print them yourselves (and your university does not have shared printing), then yes, we can do that. Just fill out the form on the front page of yqnews.org.

no, our uni doesnt have shared printing. still, i think i can print it out from somewhere. why, i should be able to sacrifice money for the spread of the gospel. i wil ask someone to help do that. or halima could do it, i will ask her if they have shared printing. i put my name on the list but wait before you send. i will get back to you on that.
