Okay, another one. Ever heard the expression "the pitter patter of little feet"? I know you have a son holli, but were you wishing for a girl first? What children and how many do you want, and have you seen a cute baby recently? What did you do for the mom? etc, etc, etc. This thread is about babies and such. I just love their little feet and hands.

I love babies!!!! They are adorable. My aunt has 3 boys, all 1 year apart: 4, 3, and 2. She is pregnant and is due in July. We all hope she has a girl. It's going to be crazy, but fun!

Awwwww....you are making me jealous. No nieces or nephews, youngest sibling 12. *pouts*

I have my own little feet, she's doesn't pitter patter yet, but they are fun to kiss. I know you were asking Holli, but funny thing along those lines is- We didn't find out what we were having and we were certian we were having a boy, on the way to the hospital I said "That one really hurt" and Isaac's reply was "That's my boy". We love our little girl and wouldn't want it any other way. :)

Don't worry collegegirl, they are fun, but can be a hassle. I love them but they are quite stressful. I didn't have little cousins for a while, but now I do.

hi congratulations on your new baby...im sure it will eventually sink in that you are a mommy

vpiper
01-04-2006, 05:19 PM
hiya- Congrats

once you caught up on sleep-3 or 4 months(if you are nurseing) and you look over at the bundle of joy it might dawn on you that he is your's. When I first had Zippa I couldn't believe it and thought that one day I would just wake up and it would all have just been a dream.

ha ha are u serious vpiper? this question is to all the mommys how did it feel to actually know that you have a baby

hiya
01-05-2006, 05:08 PM
I feel joy, it's amazing. It's also diffrent,
all my teen years i babysat and worked in daycares
and i though when ihave kids it going to
be easy becaue i have so much exsperants
now that my little one is born it's like ahh what
do i do??? He yours and you have to take care of him
when he's sick or has a booboo you can give
him back to mommy....lol but so far
i love it and i know i'll grown to love being a mom more
as he gets older.

like I said earlyer, you discover a new way to love. my baby is great and I cry when ever she cries-it is pretty bad. It's hard to explain the feelings that you go through all mostly good. The first night we brought her home though I asked my hubby if we could send her to the nursery(the hospital one). sleeping arrangments were hard to adjust to. the baby is so use to skin on skin contact and then you ask it to sleep in it's own bed.

some times it is over whelming how much your baby loves you. Zipporah has her momments when she refuses to go to anyone else, it makes me happy that she loves me, but sometimes I want a break. She's mine and I can't remember life before her.

you made an interesting point there, how come babies stick to their mommies so much, and even the wee little ones they know who their mommy is even though they are only a few weeks old i just find it amazing

marichino_freedom
01-09-2006, 12:09 AM
thats true...guess it comes from nine months of hearing her voice and just "knowing" her. after having a baby inside, i guess its kind of difficult to get any closer to a person's heart.

vpiper

babies even know the smell of their mommies. there was a test done on 4 day old babies with used milk pads, one of thier mom's and one a stranger's and the would turn to mom's every time. but that doesn't help me get my work done. surprizingly I'm not far behind

I'm coming in a little late on these posts but am having fun reading them.

If you haven't read my intro yet...I have 2 boys and (supposed to be a girl) baby #3 on the way in May.

I love kids. I worked in the nursery of a daycare for 4 years before i was married and loved it. Of course its totally different having your own. My youngest who will be 3 in May (yes...I'll have 2 may babies) is very quiet in the mornings when he gets up. My brain is used to this, tho, so right before he gets to my side of the bed I can hear this quiet "pitter patter of little feet" on the carpet. I open my eyes and he's standing next to the bed watching me. As soon as he notices my open eyes, he says "mommy. Im hungry. get up."

He's so cute sometimes...even at 7:15 in the morning. He's my little alarm clock.

Aww... cute!

Anna May, forgive me if I'm wrong, but you're Brother Trevor's wife, from Jeffersonville? I've been reading his xanga site for a while, and am very impressed by his depth of love for the Word!

I also saw a video of Zion & Azariah, "fishing." Way too cute! They have little american accents. I didn't realise that even the kids would have accents!

SisTrev

:rofl:ROFL!!! That's hilarious! The fact that my kids have little american accents. HA!!!! I've never really thought about it before. :rofl:But i guess if I heard a little kid from australia talking with an aussey accent i'd find it very cute.

And in answer to your question...sorry it took me so long to answer....i haven't been keeping up to much lately...Yes, I am Bro Trevor's wife from Jeffersonville.

Babyruth

I think that's impossible. Everyone has an accent, you just don't notice it until you are around other people with different accents. It's kinda funny actually.

Awww... I love accents! The English accent in particular... and Aly's.
Hehehe, i know i know Aly, you don't have one, BUT.

Anyway...

To answer the original question...

I want 12.

:worthy:

(have mercy on me Lord.)

No really...

I want a big family, BUT i know that once i know what it REALLY is all about... i will only want a few. So, instead of 12, i would want about 5. No more. Then again, i'll let the Lord decide on that.

Wait...

5 is still a lot.

We'll see, we'll see...

:peep:

I'm sure that once yoiu start haveing kids then you will change yoiur mind on how many you want. I always thought it would be nice to have 6...3 of each. But now that im about ready to have my 3rd, I think I can honelstly say that 3 is enough for me. I still wanna keep my sanity.

But that's just me. I know a girl down here who is expecting her 4th and she's still fine with that and she wants more too. She's got a lot of patience. She also has 3 boys and the 4th one on the way is a boy too. But she's happy! I guess that's all that matters.

Hehehe, i know i know Aly, you don't have one, BUT.

I was just going to say that.

I don't have an accent. And I can prove it too.

Hehe!!

As for babies...

I don't want any.

Not yet.

Not until I become un-single. (See all the threads on "are you looking." There's alot that's got to happen before then.) Then, if I do get married... I want to get married because I want to be with my man... not because I want kids. I want to know that we're both ready for the challenge.

I don't recommend big families. I'm the eldest of 6. I ended up with 5 brothers.

You can't even plan how many boys & girls you have. Or what they look like. This was a bit of a shock to me... because I had it all worked out... the names, appearances, even their personalities.

Just because I don't want them to turn out like me... haha.

But I want 3. I think. But that's still a long way away.

i want many kids but i dont think it would be wise. the economy is really unstable so it might turn out to be an unwise idea after all

I just saw where Sis Trev was laughing that I said her kids have accents. Now I've met them, I can say, for sure they do!! They're so cute. Wish I coulda spent more time with ya'll... but maybe next time!

And I just read where up there I said I don't want any kids. Or any kids yet. Whatever I said. That was then. But now I do want kids. I mean, not now. One day.

Ok... let me say that again. Not so long ago, I didn't know if I ever wanted to have kids. Now I know that I do want to one day!

my mom mom's had 12 kids my mom is the oldest of 12, my mom had 6 and i'm the 5th child and then i have a younger sister.
And people asked her how she handle having 6 all she said was that God granted her the patience and the love to handle 6. she also said that the Lord won't give you more then you can handle..

I'm an aunt.. i have been for 3 and half years i only have a little niece.. and she is so adorable, cute, funny, hugable. She does the funniest things to make you laugh..

i wish i had a nephew or another little niece, but it's all in God's hands..

I would like to have twins when i get married i've always thought that twins would be nice to have.

i would like to have 5 or 7 children

But all is in the Lord's hands.

Lol, I think every girl wants to have twins at least at one point in our lives. Like you all said, the Lord will only give us as many as we can handle. So, if He feels I can handle twins I wouldn't mind having them... :) But, I'm jumping ahead of myself! I'm not even married.. haha.

i love children so it wouldn't bother me if i had twins or tripplets(sp?) even though tripplets(sp?) would be hard to take care of... umm i think i will stick with wanting twins..

2 of my sisters don't want to have twin at all one of the is younger then me and the other one is the oldest.

Just thought I'd mention that my little cousin is adorable! He is 2 1/2 months old and sooo cute! I've baby-sat him a few times and I love holding him. He loves me too, I can tell. He smiles a lot when I talk to him and he coos at me. He only does that with my aunt. So, I'm trying to teach him to say "Ruth." It's my goal to make it his first word. :D

my best friend has identical twins, age 1 and 1/2. They are the most adorable little girls ever. I've babysat them numerous times, and wow. That's all I can say.
