The Lord is really great in our lives.
His Word is the safest refuge that we could get into :peep: . And I do know that we are all thankful :worthy: for His grace to let us know how to benefit and make use of it. Just thinking how great it is that our God never sleeps so that He could attend to each and every concern of His children. May He bless you today Bride.

Babyruth
01-12-2006, 05:38 AM
Snow is fun and white and fluffy. Once you've seen it, you might not like it anymore. Our neighbors have a foreign exchange student from Brazil and she had never seen snow before she came here. She said she liked it at first, then got sick of it.

NeedGod
01-12-2006, 06:49 AM
really. it looks so romantic. ah well, i still want to see it

collegegirl
01-12-2006, 11:15 AM
There is nothing like some of the first snows of winter. The big fat flakes coming down, white and clean against the wet, black pavement. I love snow. *wishful look*

collegegirl
01-12-2006, 11:16 AM
Oh, but it is dangerous to drive it, that is for sure.

NeedGod
01-12-2006, 11:16 AM

If you dont know what your doing that can be very true, our brother from Togo had his first accident when he got his car not to long ago because of the snow lol, No snow in Togo africa :D , but he seems to be doing alot better now and his english has gotten alot better also

blessed
01-12-2006, 03:32 PM
Its not always hot hotshot:D did that actually rhyme..well we have two seasons dry and wet its pretty cool here apart from the summer and we are no way near 90

HotShot53
01-12-2006, 09:21 PM
Lol, what you consider nice I might consider hot.... and I meant 90 F, that would be about 32 C....

Snow may be not as good to drive in... but it's pretty fun to go slipping and sliding while driving ;)

Babyruth
01-13-2006, 02:24 AM
I like snow, but I don't like that everyone where I live is not used to it and they cancel school for a couple inches. It's ridiculous, I know, but true.

Angelo

I am an only child. I never knew my dad. My mom raised me alone. I love to fight spiders when I was young. I used to spend all day looking for the ones that could really fight and spin the enemy fast. I love ice cream, rocky road. cookies also nowadys. I love working out- jogging barefeet is really nice. I miss my mom when I remeber her.

JoeC
01-13-2006, 02:36 PM

I was neighbor with my cousins those days.
Ok, There are numerous species of spiders that lived in our area those days and thanks to our generation they are now extinct. Some of them were really good fighters but are hard to find and are rare. To search for them would require special skill & considerable knowledge in detecting their presence. You can also know the kind by examining the strength of the web, how was it made, and their preferred location, but some make their homes by intertwining both ends of a leaf- these kinds have a white & orange color with red large fangs. These also are the fastest and dont hesitate to bite when hungry and provoked.
Also, one should know how to make accomodations for a priced fighter. Matchboxes are often used which could house up to five. But the divisions(coconut leaf) must be fortified to prevent them from devouring each other inside.
To fight a spider, you should use a stick obtained from coco leaf that would serve as their arena. And by placing each on both ends as their start positions would tingle an excitement on both owners and spectators of the battle that they shall behold. I hate it when mine gets eaten up  . But I had good ones...

HotShot53
01-15-2006, 11:32 PM
Like fighting roosters or dogs, except I don't think it's illegal.... interesting....

Babyruth
01-16-2006, 02:12 AM
It's not cool at all! Why would you want to look at spiders? However, if you ever want to get rid of some more come to my neighborhood, we'll house you and feed you if you get rid of them all.

Blood Washed Bride
01-16-2006, 05:37 AM
I don't know if we should be encouraging the extinction of a species, no matter how repulsive.

NeedGod
01-16-2006, 05:40 AM
yeah, we shouldnt but some times i do so wish we could do away with spiders and snakes.

Blood Washed Bride
01-16-2006, 05:53 AM
It's easy for me to talk, though, because dangerous - or just plain creepy - :thelook: creatures are not abundant where I live.

NeedGod
01-16-2006, 05:55 AM
yeah, weve got the creepiest of them here.

blessed
01-16-2006, 12:47 PM

blessed
01-16-2006, 09:15 PM

collegegirl
01-16-2006, 09:17 PM
No, seriously. I mean, how often do you see fighting spiders?

blessed
01-16-2006, 09:21 PM
i don't like spiders

collegegirl
01-16-2006, 09:31 PM
Well, neither do I, but I would like to see them fight. :box:

blessed
01-17-2006, 11:09 AM
what if they get away and bite you.. then you would be fighting for your dear life in some hospital i don't like those things

NeedGod
01-17-2006, 11:14 AM
yeah, and you dont see them fighting because they have better sense than humans who kill each other for no good reasons.

Babyruth
01-21-2006, 04:26 PM
I don't want spiders to be extinct, but I don't want to see them. I know they are good, and God created them, after all, but I certainly don't want to see them.

Angelo
01-22-2006, 03:02 AM
I believe so too.. It's a good thing God came into my heart and changed the way I think about them spiders. In fact, I let them multiply now because they could somehow help in catching mosquitos. you know what guyz, aside from spiders, when I got a little older I changed to raising doves.. I owned 35 pieces of them...my favorite is a white one and the kind that have feathers on their legs, we call them cowboy... he's my favorite.. he multiplied several times and all of them are cowboys.. I never had a chance to race...

I admire their loyalty. When they get used to the place and find that there is sustenance, they stay. I owned one that really exhibited true loyalty. I bought it. I idn't notice that it was sick when i took it so I took care of it. Hand fed him until he got well and when he had enough strength to fly with the rest of the bunch, he flew the highest altitude. At first i was so impressed. But after a few minutes observing him I knew that his purpose was to get back to his master.. :harhar1: I did not cry because I was older then.. I learned that the older they get, the more loyal they become... probably his owner needed the money and have to sell him and because of his age, got sick at the store. Fortunately, the Lord let me buy him to give back his strength and health, but the dove has his freedom to choose whom to serve... I understand him and I admired him for that..

Isint that almost the same with a christian, the Lord paid the price for us he bought our sin sick souls, he washed us with his blood, cleanses us, heals us, strengthens us and also gives us the chance to choose if we will serve him....
