Hey everyone, I was here a few times in the beginning of the forums... back when there was no posting going on. I'm sure you remember that. Then I got pretty busy with work and other things... and forgot about the forums. Then I come back and BOOM! There's tons of posts now. So I'll try to do my part to contribute. I have no time for a get-together. But, it would be neat. What would be cool is if some of you could come up to my church's summer camp in August! It would be a lot of fun, and you can all start saving up now. It's not too expensive, mostly just the airfare.

The poconos are the portion of the Appalachian mountains that is about in the middle of the eastern side of Pennsylvania, a pretty nice spot :)

I think I've mentioned it before, but I don't remember where, so I'll tell it again. We have breakfast, morning devotions, lunch, free time, volleyball, mini sessions, dinner, evening service and then bed. I know that sounds boring, but it is a lot of fun. If you aren't into volleyball, there is a gym with basketball and other sports. Or sometimes there are mini sessions that we have to learn about drama or something. We sometimes do mini skits. Sundays are the best, it's the last day, but we have a morning service and then the rest of the day is pretty much free. We do whatever and then in the evening we watch a skit. Then, we have a bonfire and stay up late and fellowship. Also, we do press the mark. It is Bible trivia and we are split up in teams and compete. It's the best camp, it's the only one I've ever been to, but it's the best I've been to. I hope you all can come!

Yeah, it deffinately is.... in our folders at WYR we actually got a full typed page of how volleyball was going to be run, and the volleyball rules to follow....

Summer camp is normally during August, normally the 2nd or 3rd week. It's from the Thursday morning to the following Monday morning, about 4 days and 1 morning. I dislike volleyball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to like it, I was on a team at school and was pretty decent. I enjoyed it. But, I played with the people at my church and they are mostly a lot better and don't follow the same rules, so it was no fun. Most of them don't even know the real rules and just pretend they do. So, I now dislike volleyball. Plus, I injured my arm and caused a hematoma on my arm, right where you hit the volleyball. When I played at school, I had to wrap it with an Ace bandage, but it still hurt pretty bad, so unconsciencly I turned my arm over and hit it with the other side of my arm. I still did well, but when I did it at church, everyone kept trying to tell my how to play, and I already knew how, and so, I don't like volleyball anymore. I love basketball and soccer!!!!!!!!!!!!! How come we can't ever play that, what is so great about volleyball???????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't tell me it's the physical contact, because I play both at school and I don't ever have a problem with physical contact with the boys. I just know how to play and stay out of the way.

Well, some people just might not have that mastered, and if you remember, Bro. Branham didn't really even care for games like volleyball and badmitton where the girls and guys played together. He preferred them to play separately.

That's true, I would play with just girls, but they are no fun because most of them can't play anything but volleyball or don't want to play anything but volleyball. When I was on a basketball team, it was just girls and it was a lot of fun. Everyone wanted to play and we had tons of fun. If only more believer girls where I live liked basketball...

i was thinking about the quote where u said bro branham did not care for guys and girls playing together and its bothering me a bit..in my youth group there is just a few of us and we are very close im one of the oldest all the rest are younger like 18,19,20 around.. we consider each other like blood brothers and sisters i guess we never really thought of the guy/girl thing, its actually strange to think of it that way because of the realtionship that we have you would think we all had the same mother and father except when they get out of line then i really want to spank them..you would think im the mother then:D

Actually, it wasn't. It was at my dad's office. This person likes to rant and rave about things, (particularly about our president, and Republicans, which we support, and we are Republicans), and he was doing it (about one of the other employees who works there) near the door which leads to the front lobby, and there was a customer who could hear everything that he was saying. So, as the bosses daughter, I walked out there and asked him (nicely, and almost timidly, but firmly) to please tone it done, because we had a customer in the lobby that could hear everything that he was saying. He kinda was like, "well, so and so-" and I had to tell him that if he had a problem with the person, that he needed to talk to the manager, or to my dad, (Da Boss), but not where our customers could hear him. He finally cooled down, and apologized later to me, but I don't like to have to do things like that.
