What are your thoughts on people going thru surgery to enhance their looks, make them look perfect? Would you yourself even consider this? Just curious. Personally, I won't do it even if I might have the money cause it would not be you anymore, it would be a fake you and I am contented of what God has made me to be.
Let me know your thoughts on this :).

overall i dont think it to be a necessary or justified surgery. but, when people get severely burned, or mangled in some way i dont think its a bad idea to make them look and feel better about themselves. otherwise, its just people being what society wants them to be...we all get uncomfortable with ourselves sometimes, but even if we got surgery to tame that uncomfortability, we would probably find something wrong with that too. i thank God that i was blessed with everything i need and that i have pretty good self esteem

that's great to hear marichino :)
well...nowadays most people are so bent on making themselves perfect...that is why even if it is just a minor flaw...they would resort to surgery right away...there will never be contentment for the people of the world...you can only find that if you are a child of God.
There is no money in the world that would make me do something like that...
I bet Satan goes    every time someone goes through all that just to be ˝beautiful˝

Satan himself is beautiful. He was created by God, right under him. Have you ever read the description given to him in the Bible? All of the increadible workings that God put into him? I agree with the fact that I would never go "under the knife" to perfect a "flaw", unless I had to do it for skin grafts, or I was missing my nose. :D God sometimes does the work Himself, and other times, does the work through doctors. :D

yes exactly right, he is the most beautiful angel in the bible....ive just heard from the news that if you have undergone cosmetic surgery...there is no guarantee that there will be no side effects and the results are not long term...so what if you have to do it again and you don't have the funds anymore....you would end up looking far worse than you originally were....now that is a comforting thought.....hehheheheh!!!!!!!!

Well, if God made you with black hair instead of blond, there was a reason. Has anyone ever ready the story of Amy Charmichael? Incredable story.

A missionary to India. She has an increadable story. I would reccommend it. Anyways, she always had wanted blue eyes instead of brown when she was little, but when she got older she was thankful that she had her brown eyes because it allowed her to sneak in the temples to see what was happening to the little girls, making her want to save them all that much more. YOu should really read her story.

You could probably find a book about it at the library. Just look under amy carmichael. They usually have biographies and the such. It is an actual story. It is wonderful. I believe the one that I read was a Christian classics, and her name is the title of the book.

I have read about her. I have a book about her in the Heroes of the Faith series. It is really good. It's funny, my brother was just reading about her. He has a Christian literature book and part of her story was in there. Pretty amazing. Makes me wonder what I'm going to do...

We have so many books about Christian heroes of the Faith, like Mary SLessor, (Africa), Fanny Crosby, (songwriter), George Muller, (England), etc. I used to love to read them.
