While browsing freely on the net, I came across this that seemed to make enough sence to meet, I thought would be great to share:
MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR SINGLENESS
1.Ask Around.
Talk to your married friends and find out what they miss most about being single. Is it girls' nights out? Is it the time to take a photography class? Take advantage of these opportunities now so you'll have no regrets later.
2.Make a List.
What do you want to accomplish in life—write a book? Travel to Italy? Participate in a short-term missions trip? Write all this down on a master list, then pick one thing and go for it. Don't let waiting for a husband put your life on hold.
3.Pray.
Ecclesiastes 3 tells us there are specific purposes for certain seasons of life. Ask God what unique things he wants you to do or learn in this single season. Obedience to these things will draw you closer to him and make for an exciting ride.
4.Invest in Others.
Since you're not focusing a majority of your relational energy into a husband right now, you've got a lot to give. There are Sunday school classes, refugee families, and weary neighbors who could be eternally blessed by your involvement in their lives. And the joy you'll receive in return will help chase away those lonely days.
5.Get Going.
There's a lot to see and do in this big world and now's your best chance to take it all in. A road trip with friends is always a bonding experience. And it's never too late for a family vacation. Enrich your life by broadening its boundaries. (You never know whom you may meet along the way!)

Honey, you forgot to add an essential one for all believers.
READ THE WORD!
As believers, being single does not mean being alone. Ok, that is not original, but its true. To be single, especially when all my friends are in relationships, is not easy. But then i realized, i am not really single, I am with the Lord. And the thing to do, the most important thing to do, is to seek God.
I get attention alright. My heart even sometimes cries out for love and i have feelings. Like evry other girl, i have fallen in love at one point in my life. But the most important lesson i learnt, is the lesson of seeking God. Do this before you even think of going into a relationship. Seek Him desperately. That way, you'll be safe.
Lately, i have gotten this strange urge not only to pray for my future husban, but to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill him too. So that whoever that is, it will be someone who will not stagnate my search for God but someone who will help me, as i help him, get more desperate with longing for The Lord. Lol, i have also been praying for my future kids, but that is another story altogether.
Anyway, the point of this long post is to say, Pray and seek God. Read the Word desperately. It'll all work out. And hey, being single is just the time to do that, when the burdens are less. Later you may be too busy. So do it while single. :)

This thread reminds me of this (http://yqnews.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1045) one
As believers, being single does not mean being alone.I find that... I know what you mean, but it's far too strong, still can be very very alone :(

Thanks a lot for the reminder! Well the author of this is an unbeliever hence she wouldn't give it all to US!;-) I also feel that being single is the blessed time we have to be closer to God our maker, the one who understands our ambitions and desires and the Bible tells us to " Delight thy self in God and he shall give you the desires of thine Heart":D Apparently, he knows you need a Holyghost filled husband and great Kids, so on our part, as at now, before we are married, we got to seek God first. Trusting that he'll always give us the BEST! :yay: I feel like shouting!!!

That's... your longing for that, and (and that of many guys for a loving wife as well)... just had to think again of God comparing Himself and us to that, Him being that longing for His loving bride, Him saying Himself He's like a man marrying his wife, comparing Himself to that... just... not that... that hardly touches it, it's so much bigger, His love and longing for our love and devotion, how His heart is touched by us spending time with Him together. Him not focusing on our faults like we (or me anyway, and others) so often do, instead Him seeing the tiny little things that are good, loving, that aren't self-centered, and Him saying like, "oh, that's, the love of my life, see how beautifull she is, see how she's becoming more and more loving"
God's in love with you. Would a loving husband like Him not grand your heart desire?
