Well i was just trying to find out, do any of you sisters/ brothers have friends of the opposite sex but who also are unbelievers? I do have them and sometimes they seem so nice... And I wonder if they think there's more to it!? Maybe I just drop them all together, hey? We've been together at college and some asked me for my fotos. We had some taken together. What do youall think of this.

yes, yes i do. but thats all its ever been was friendship...these guys i've known since i was in kindergarten and 4th grade......they've never thought otherwise, either....but sometimes you have to make that very clear to people (and then maybe its not such a good idea to be friends in the first place).

hmmm...that was a bit of a ramble

I don't know these guys; I know these are difficult things, but it's not impossible for friendship to survive -- if you deal with this, properly

and to answer your question; uhm, no, I don't really know non-christian girls who I'd call friends

I had one we were good friend until he got a serious girlfriend and she thought it was weird we were close-even though I was married and we only hung out in groups.

I am not sure what you want, I was a non believe opposite sex person when i met my husband, but by the hand of God here I am. Just keep the friendship at a safe distance.

I have guy friends who are not believers. I've never had a problem with them, but every relationship is different and every person is different.

Honestly, I don't think these kind of topics are the greatest to be asking online... nobody on here knows you or your friends, so for any of us to be telling you to stop or to encourage a friendship is kind of pointless.
Everybody has different convictions and feelings about this kind of thing, so it would probably be more confusing to you if everyone posted what they thought.

(this post is probably the most confusing :D)

The tried and true method is of course, if they are pulling you further from God in any way, the friendship is not likely of God.

Anyhoo... if that made no sense, just disregard it :)

Well yeah you're right. i was just checking any way if any of you seem to have them so I could relate to my situation, since I know myself!!! But thanks for sharing and being honest. Honesty is such an elusive attribute to many but I admire that! ( Not disregarding that people tend to be different from themselves while online!)

Hmm, I see....

I have them friends of the opposite sex that are not believers. But one thing I have observed over time is that the deeper I get in the Message and the closer I get with my Lord, I tend to get more distanced from them and lack in the once common things that bound us together. Though I tend to learn a lot from them, I thank God that over time He's adding me His Divine Wisdom, to know how to handle some situations that are more likely to arise whenever they are involved in whichever aspect of my life. But hey, I got this to leave with you as I get off this thread for now...

'If you love the world and the things therein then the love of God is not in you.'

-Cheers..........

I have several guy friends left over from my unbelieving days. Actually the girls all thought it was not cool to hang out with me anymore so i lost most of my girlfriends. But the guys have hung around. Still i am careful with them now, because most still don't understand the ground rules, or maybe they ignore them... And i eventually learnt that most wanted more than just friendship, strangely enough! I however have lots of believer friends :applause:
