Why don't maternity stores sell any modest clothing??? I mean, every shirt you find is designed to show off more cleavage than baby. Puh-lease! Some of us want to dress like ladies! Sheesh. The only place I've been able to find modest maternity is Wal-Mart.
I guess the new rage for pregnant women is to be a hot mama. It's awful! The clothes show so much cleavage that even non-Message women try to cover themselves up. It's pretty sad when pregnant women's clothing is designed to be more flashy than regular women's clothing! What a sick world!!!!

I KNOW!!!! Tell me about it! (i mean, i'm not pregnant, but i've seen that!!!) It's horrible, what is this world thinking??? Anyway, congratulations on your pregnancy, i hope you find some more clothes!!!!! I'll keep you in my prayers...

Thanks, Sara! I am so excited about my baby boy!
Well, it's all worked out. A lady I know gave me a bag of baby stuff/maternity clothes. Most of the clothes are nice and modest! I guess the Lord heard my complaints and helped me out!

That's exciting, Bekah!
I've also heard that Kohl's has good maternity. If you sew, now would be a good time to use those skills. As far as skirts, my mom said that when she was pregnant, she just bought plus size skirts. So, you might try that. I may have to buy some plus size skirts soon. :D
Yesterday I had to use an elastic hair thing, wrap it on the button, through the button hole, and back on the button to keep my skirt fastened. lol At 5 months, I'm finally starting to get too big for my skirts. :p

Thank you, She's an angel.
Now those Skirts Callout was talking about were old navy brand, but my sister-in-law bought them on e-bay and were produced in 2002. I bought a good one brand new at Burlington coat factory, but sweat skirts work too, just sag in them when you get too big.

I don't really care for name brand products, like Aeropastale, and Old Navy, and Gap, because of the WAY that they fit. They are cut to look sexy, to show off some curves and stuff, and I believe that there is an attitude that is also associated with the clothes and names. Don't get me wrong, they have some cute things, but I guess I am not too much of a name brand person.

name brands dont bother me...i like going to malls and buying the brand name stuff for really cheap 80% clearance and stuff.....i rarely buy anything brand new or at full price

me too, i dont care for brands. i like clothes which make me feel and look nice but comfortable. i love shopping. i could shop for days.

I buy clothes that I like and that fit and that are cheap. I can't remember the last time I bought something full price. I agree with you collegegirl, many brands are pretty bad, the spirit they bring. I don't like shopping at certain stores, and don't because of the innuendos they have. I don't care what the brand is, I don't shop because of the brand. But, if they happen to have nice clothes that fit and are cheap and don't refer to anything bad, then I buy them.
I am more cautious of American Eagle now though because they had a shirt that seemed to be really cute, it just had a big smiley face on the front. All it was was two dots for eyes and a big grin. I saw it in the store and thought it was cute, but didn't really want to buy it for some reason. A few days later, i saw a girl at school wearing the same shirt. I was shocked to see where the dots for the eyes ended up when a girl was wearing it. I was so glad I didn't buy it.

WOW!!! How....suggestive. That is so bad. I had this one skirt that someone had given me. It was totally modest in the fact that it was wide, and fit well, but it had a design that ran across the stomach and along the front, side hip area, so I felt it would have been wrong for me to wear it.
Oh, what do you feel about v-necks? I like them, but I have heard people talking about them being suggestive.

I know! I was shocked! It was so subtle too, I doubt anyone else has noticed, except the ones that made it. I've wondered about v-necks too. I always wear a modest tank or shirt under it so no skin shows, but I've noticed some v-necks being suggestive too. I have a few, not too many, but I always run my clothes past my mom and dad, so if they don't agree, then I don't get it. Also, I ask my best friend's brothers and dad, because sometimes your family doesn't notice. I'm still a little unsure about v-necks, mostly the ones that are super low cut. Anyone else?

I dont think normal V-necks are a prob. Especially if you are wearing something under it.
but those super-low cut V-necks are something else. I dont think I would wear that. normaly if they are dead low they are also dead tight.

i don't really care for brand, u usually have to pay a lot more for the same thing cause its a brand name product, but i do like nice clothes:D
The main reason I like brand names is that I have found their clothes to be well made and durable. If it's immodest or inappropriate, of course I'm not going to buy it. But I just get fed up with going into some of the stores, finding an adorable skirt, and discovering that the zipper is broken or all the threads are coming loose. (Or that the one next to it is like that, so the same fate will most likely soon catch up to the one I want.) So I try to find reasonably priced clothing from brands that put stock in their name and the quality of their products reflects that accordingly.

i never really thought about v necks but if it is not low i don't see a problem with it...

The old reason the brand name was important in this case is because they were maternity skirts which are hard to find and it's nice to know who makes them

pertaining to the question of v-necks, if it feels suggestive or even sexy, dont wear it. listen to that inner voice, it will tell you what to do. but sexy is a bad feeling to look for in clothes. the spirit of prostitution is what makes us want to be sexy to a person who is not our husband.

i dont have many v necks, but the ones i do i usually have a sweater or sweatshirt over...so, it doesnt really make a difference
