I have no driver's license. I have to rely on everyone else for a ride. I had the ability to get my permit the day I turned 15, but I ended up getting it about 3 months before my 16th birthday. I have to get 50 hours of driving time to get my license before I can get it before I turn 18, but now it seems as though I will have to wait until I turn 18 to get it, because I don't have the ability to get the hours. All of my other friends who are younger than me have a license and a car, but I have to rely on everyone. They are tired of driving me around, and I am tired of them driving me around. It is getting to the point where I really and truly need a driver's license and a car, but the license is still about 4 months away. :ranting: I am going on my 2nd year of having a permit. Did anyone else have this problem?

well first off the statment," All of my other friends who are younger than me have a license and a car," is not a valid excuse. and 2nd I didnt get mine till i was 17, and 3rd if they are that tired of driving you, you should really get on them about getting you hooked up so they dont have to complain anymore

I like blessed's idea better. I HAVE tried to get my license. You don't KNOW how hard I have tried. In 2 years, I have a total of 13 hours. They have all been too busy. I have been patient, but sometimes it is just so hard. It really shouldn't have been this hard, but there is only 3 people in my family that I can legally drive with, and now 4 vehicles, but they are all busy when I have the opportunities to drive, and then when they are available as well, no one still wants to take me.

Say, you are over 21, and a licensed driver, right? So then maybe YOU could help me get the rest of my hours.

you should see some of the old women drive around here. We have like 4 HUGE retiree cities, (no joke!!!!) here, and so about half of the drivers are REALLY OLD!! They are either soooooooo sllloooooooooowwww, or they are maniacs. :police:

I totally sympathize with you collegegirl. I am 18 and still don't have my license, but only because my parents won't let me because i'm the oldest and they don't want me to do anything, and i don't have a job because i'm so busy with school and can't pay for insurance. However, I had a job interview today, please pray that I get if it's God's will.

Well, I got my permit the day I turned 15, but then I didn't get my liscence untill 3 or 4 months before my 17th b-day. It wasn't that I couldn't get it, I just didn't need it. Every where I went my brother was going, and I didn't want to have to pay an exorbant ammount of money for insurance.

Well, see, I don't exactly go where everyone else goes. It is all out of their way and time schedules.
