one of my sis is a biologist and when she had to disect and animal she almost cried. she was so depressed about having to do it

That's weird. I love dissecting. All of what I've dissected was from animals raised for their meat, like cows and pigs, and they give the organs to places so students can dissect them. I think it's a good use of something they would throw away anyway. I think it's very fascinating to dissect and see how things work. I don't like things to be a mystery, I like to know everything.

We had to filet guttet fish before, and by the end of the class time, I wanted to take the fish heads and move the mouths open and closed. It was so funny. :rofl:

Lol... Christine came over to do dissection with Jeremy last year... and when they disected the fish, Christine thought nothing of it, cause she cooks fish starting from whole fish all the time....

i've had to dissect fetal pigs before...and i was the only one in my group that would. kinda smelly, but not too bad.

Last year in my anatomy class we got to dissect fetal pigs. It was sad because they are so cute, but it was really cool. I was the only one that wasn't bothered with the smell, besides one of my friends. Everyone else could barely do it. I thought it was really neat!

Fetal pigs aren't gross! They were already dead because the mom's went to the slaughter house, so they saved them and use them for medical stuff. At least they reuse them and give them some purpose in life/death, other than just dying for nothing.

I don't love fetal pigs, I think they are cute, and it's sad to dissect them, but it's still fun to see how things work. You just have to look at them like a piece of science when you do it, not as an animal. Sweat is gross to see, way grosser than fetal pigs!
