Tomorrow I am going to attempt to install a sump pump in the crawl space. It'll be cold, but it must be done.
It'll be a time of work gloves, tools, PVC, hammer-drillin concrete, etc...
very manly...
A big fort hurrah!
(anyone is welcome to come to the work party)

Sorry, I'll be sleeping in tomorrow ;) My dad is replacing the electrical service at my boss's house, and since the office is in her basement, that means no electricity all day... which means I can't work :)

Sounds like you'll be free to come over then!!
Why sleep in when you could run the hammer drill for me. Breakin' through concrete man...it's gotta be a thrill greater than sleeping in!

That's what I wanted to do... but my sister woke me up at 9:00, saying I should get up so i could take her to her music lesson at 10:30.... for one thing, I didn't need to be woken up till 10:00 for that, and for another, my mom got home at like 9:45 from watching my niece, so I didn't have to take my sister anyway... so my last time to sleep in for 2 months was ruined for nothing :(

Sheesh... what do you call sleeping in? Getting up at 12? I got up at 9:30... but that's definitely sleeping in for me.

welll, since I get up usually at 8 for work... 9 is slightly sleeping in, but real sleeping in is till at least 10 or 11... I've done 12 a couple times, but never later than that ;)

The sump pump is now installed.
Thanks to all who came by and offered to help. We all had a great time down in the crawl space putting PVC together and knocking a hole in the brick to put it through.
Now if I can figure out a way to route that water under my driveway or something.

Dynamite. Get that pesky concrete out of your way and lay the pipe down. Problem solved.
Of course... the dynamite might cause a few more problems... But I'm sure you can work out all the minute details.

I think I'm trying to get it to where I don't make things to fix, as I fix other things...
