So Joe ol buddy ol pal have you had any ideas for a YQnews logo? I thought it might be fun to do one up. You know to help created an identity for the YQnews world? maybe I can make an unoffical one that ppl can share? Just tossing out an Idea in the ideas area LOL :thumbup:

I had an idea that I was thinking about.

Notice their logo at the top. t shows community, connectivity, and togetherness. Iwas thinking of something like this, with a few twists so as not to seem copycat. Also, somehow getting a world concept in their, maybe the people would be standing on a world map?

Or maybe we could make it not so aerial, but side ways with some people standing holding hands on top of a globe, bowing their heads in prayer? I think I do want to keep it in the icon look though - ubuntu's logo.

This is as far as I got with the problem. Let me know if you have any other ideas to develop this one or even something radically different.

ALRIGHT PPL here it is, After much work and revision I am happy to present my Logo submission :D I have removed the last ones so dont try the links because they wont work :D Please let me know your feelings on this, It is my feeling that this version would be good. ALso to those of you who just take a quick peek, take another look, because if you didnt notice the first time you might see the suggested image in the text and it might look a little like this ;) lol so besure to take your time looking at it and let me know what you think.

The general idea is good,but we could use a different font and actual pics of chatters around a more realistic looking globe.

What do u think Joe??

LOL you could have just said you didnt like it at all. well I know everyone her I at my house thought it was awesome.
Also trust me sis as a professiona Graphics designer you dont want to use acutal images in a logo because of Logo use. when you use real photos instead of vector images you have a problem with resizing.
and Joe posted a link on here with what he was looking for in a logo design and so based off that I made this. THe letter choice is cool I think because you get the Smilie in the text lol. As an over all design with typography and imagry, In my view it works great as a unified piece. lol

We will have to see what Joe says but from my professional opinion real images isnt the way to go. thats why we have an image gallery :D

I like the logo A LOT. The font still needs some work.

We will need something that's either more generic ("youth quake" instead of "youth quake news") or we need a customized one for each section (main site, news, gallery, and forums).

But yeah, the iconic part is great! Good work there Sam!

I can take off the news but I think that you are right one with each setting would work can , changing the word "news" to the others would i think make a good completed transition bewteen areas because that would conferm that they are in the right spot :D

Well I dont know if you saw it, it seems that some didnt so I will tell everyone first and i will see about making iting a bit more plain, IN the text itself to help keep with this net theme of things you can see in the image the OU in youth and the U in quake make a winking smilie face ;D which i thought was pretty cool, that the letters could do that so, I will try to make it stand out a little more and i will try to do something with the font also but still try to keep this neat thing in there.

Yes I know you voted for it JOE and a BIGGGGGGGG Thanks to you as well me friend lol, you are of course the main head guy so your vote is one of the biggest to count so It does make me feel good about it :D give me a little while and I will see what I can do to make it more completed for ya :)
