Well ok since we are to spread the the love a little more eveny in our posts so as to not make them so long I though we could post kind words about Legos in here, who here has not heard of or even played with legos before?? did you know they have a program that they can load an image in of an object and it can tell them how many legos , colors and sizes it will need to build a lego version of it? Isnt that unreal?

Christian-Samurai
11-11-2005, 08:54 PM
Yes they do have that program and its really cool they even made a life size racing car and tons of other things, you can look it up i am sure you will find all kinds of cool things that have been with those little wonders. :peep:

That is so cool! I love Legos. I never had any because my mom and dad told me I was a girl and didn't need them, so I stole my brother's and played with them. It would be so cool to work for the company and put the sets together to make sure they work properly.
Christian-Samurai
11-11-2005, 10:49 PM
Yeah thats what I though, I love legos also I even have 2 of the lego movies :D the are neat to watch I havent seen the 3rd one yet
collegegirl
11-11-2005, 11:31 PM
WE would get the lego magazine and they would have all of these cool things that ppl made with legos, and a comic style story with some jungle guy, Johnny Cash I think it is. Way cool.
Christian-Samurai
11-11-2005, 11:38 PM
Well all I know is that the movies are really neat and I need the 3rd one, and I like some of the new sets they have out now have thought about getting some
Babyruth
11-12-2005, 12:00 AM
My brother gets the Lego magazine still. It's not as cool as it used to be because they have all those weird Star Wars legos and other odd legos. I wish they had the cool adventure ones still.
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 12:41 AM
YEah i remember all those, I was always liking the technic ones they were always cool with all you could make and control
collegegirl
11-12-2005, 05:17 AM
I have heard of some way out stuff that people have made. I love legos.
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 05:20 AM
You should see some of the photos on the web, man amazing little blocks my brother took them all when he moved out so i have none :(
collegegirl
11-12-2005, 05:23 AM
We have some big ones that you can borrow. THey are like the small ones, only about 50 times bigger. LOL
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 12:50 PM
cool maybe I can build my own castle out of them if they are big enough and you have enough blocks :D
collegegirl
11-12-2005, 12:52 PM
Sure you could build a castle, but if you make it big, it is going to be only about a layer high. If you make it bigger, there might be only enough room for your feet. LOL :D
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 12:57 PM
lol bummer :D maybe you can make yourself a new resturant building like you wanted, out of them?? just buy a few more and call it the lego cafe :D
collegegirl
11-12-2005, 01:02 PM
I like it, I really do. Here, sell the idea to Legos. :D
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 01:07 PM
LOL Not me its all for you so you can get your Food Business going :D
collegegirl
11-12-2005, 01:13 PM
LOL thankyou, but I don't want to have a restaraunt. I have seen what restaraunt life is like, and you cannot raise a family and a restaraunt. The chef I am under at The Copper Pot, where I work, isn't married. He has no time. I wouldn't like that kind of life. I would much rather raise a family and do catering on the side. Easier time and scheduling wise. You can pick and choose your clients.
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 01:15 PM
Lego catering then? lol
Christian-Samurai
11-12-2005, 08:29 PM
OK a couple things you might like to see. First they have their own theme park LegoLand (http://www.lego.com/legoland/california/Default.asp?locale=2057) and here are some cool lego sets . Full size Lego Race car (http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=pressdetail&contentid=4456&countrycode=2057&yearcode=2004&archive=true) Another car (http://www.wired.com/news/images/full/lego-car_f.jpg) Water snake (http://blog.yam.com/nelsnjen/7947300a.jpg) Different veiw of same car (http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2004/2004-Volvo-XC90-LEGO-Replica-XC90-1600x1200.jpg)
Just a few of the life size lego things I have seen :D

I think you need to replace your memory. Usually you can get a couple of Megs pretty inexpensive. For that matter, you could even get a couple of Gigs pretty easily. :nerd: :D

11-19-2005, 10:56 PM
wow u see that samauri she even used some techy terms, my my my...i just upgraded my memory to a 10g so that should work for a while but u all give me so much information to process, then i have to back it up...sheesh so much work
Christian-Samurai
11-20-2005, 11:55 PM
well the type of memory she sounds like she is talking about is Ram and as we know that stands for Random access memory which is something that is constantly changing so even upgranding to 10g wont help because you will just lose what you had when it gets randomly changed out for something else :D

I've seen that lego water snake you posted a picture of. I think it's in downtown disney in Orlando. They've got a whole Lego store there, with several big lego displays outside. It was pretty neat.
collegegirl
11-26-2005, 02:35 PM
I don't think I have ever been in Disney's lego store. For that matter, I didn't even know they had a Lego store. You will have to tell me where it is so that I can see it the next time I go, which is really soon.
NoahL
11-26-2005, 05:54 PM
It's not actually IN Disney... it's in downtown disney, which is a seperate thing entirely. There's no charge to get in, they have a bunch of shops and resteraunts, but no rides.
Christian-Samurai
11-26-2005, 08:27 PM
Yeah I love legos, even had some of the knock off brands at one time :D
Christian-Samurai
01-09-2006, 01:08 AM
need more legos, hmm wonder if they have those in china :D
HotShot53
01-09-2006, 02:47 PM
Don't know if they have them in china.... but you don't want to know how many are in our house ;)
blessed
01-09-2006, 05:42 PM
your house is built of legos
collegegirl
01-09-2006, 07:50 PM
The house of legos.......what a title line.
Christian-Samurai
01-09-2006, 08:52 PM
Hmmm i bet someone out there has a house built with them
HotShot53
01-10-2006, 12:59 AM
Lol, we don't quite have enough legos to make a house... at least not bigger than a doghouse.
Christian-Samurai
01-10-2006, 01:38 AM
ooo make one and take a photo, we want to see
blessed
01-10-2006, 03:52 PM
uh.. do u think u can fit into it that would be cool if u make one and go inside it and take out a pic
Babyruth
01-10-2006, 07:21 PM
That would be sooo cool!
blessed
01-10-2006, 08:09 PM
well lets see if he will do it :D
HotShot53
01-11-2006, 12:42 AM
Hmm.... it would be interesting to see exactly how big of a building we really could make out of legos... but right now my brother is using a lot of them in his castle setup, and I don't think he wants that torn down quite yet ;)
Christian-Samurai
01-11-2006, 01:21 AM
take a picture of it we want to see this "castle" lol
HotShot53
01-11-2006, 01:50 AM
I'll tell Jeremy to, it might get quicker results that if I try to do it myself... I'll post a link to wherever he puts them up once he does.
collegegirl
01-11-2006, 12:08 PM
You know, that would be kind of cool, but something like a doghouse, you might want to use the larger ones. I built the Eiffel Tower out of the larger legos.....was about 24 inches tall. I will have to get the pictures from my sister. :D There is an interesting story behind some of the pictures that were taken of the lego Tower.....
HotShot53
01-11-2006, 10:29 PM
That would be interesting to see.... and the stories interesting to hear... ;)

lego is awesome. I had pink lego as a lil girl :D Then me and my bro made the pink lego and the 'other' lego have families.
They had some pretty sweet houses.

Christian-Samurai
01-12-2006, 12:17 AM
LOL excuses Excuses, Yep I knew Legos would be a good topic lol, Personally I like some of the cool newer sets out now, I may just have to pick up a set
NeedGod
01-12-2006, 03:05 AM
i like legos with a nice manual that tell you where to put what. then you dont have to think when building anything. you just build away. ha, *rubbing hands* there see, one lego bar over another, i wonder what i am bulding. oh, wait, i last had legos when i was 7. :)
HotShot53
01-12-2006, 09:57 PM
I don't like the sets as much nowadays... they have way too many movie-sponsered themes that just don't fit with anything else... I loved the olden days when they had the cool pirate, castle, and space stuff.... and didn't have to have huge storylines and weird characters to go along with it
Mick_Mack89
01-12-2006, 10:02 PM
yeah, I liked the older stuff better. It was easier to mix and match the pieces together. Although, I do like some of the new star wars stuff. They have some neat pieces that are good for building vehicles.
Babyruth
01-13-2006, 09:05 PM
I like the old sets too. My brother has some and they are awesome! I don't play with them anymore because he doesn't either, but I used to.
HotShot53
01-13-2006, 11:29 PM
My brother took my camera to get some pics of his setup... so he may get them up tomorrow :)
