Every member has a control panel. This can be located by clicking on the link in the top left hand of the screen that reads "User CP."
From the control panel you may do any of the following:
(1) Create and edit your signature (commonly referred to as a sig, this is usually just a quote or two or perhaps your name that will appear at the end of every one of your posts).
(2) Use the forums’ inter-messaging system to contact other members of the forums. This is especially useful for those who do not wish to make their e-mail address known.
(3) Check your own inbox for messages from other members.
(4) Edit your options or profile.
(5) Add or edit an avatar (small icon that appears below your name on every post you write).
(6) Add or edit your profile picture (a picture of yourself that can be seen when a member views your profile).
(7) Check on your subscriptions. A subscription is when you opt to “subscribe” to a certain thread. You will be notified in your control panel if anything new is posted. You may also choose to have new posts e-mailed to you.
(8) Create buddy lists or ignore lists.
(9) Create and maintain an event reminder.
(10) View all attachments you have put on the forums.
