PSALM 34:17 - 19
17 The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.
actually all of Psalm 34 is good.
We all go through these things sister. My recommendation is to see if you can take some time... some time to just spend with Him!
ACTS 3:19
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
The times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Get everything right, and then dive into His presence. Swim in the deep pool of God's love, and don't get out.
Is that easy? Not always...but you must dive into His presence.

perhaps that might help some too...
Give it all to Him sister. Give it all to Him.
1 Cor 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it
Always remember that scripture, because God knows you limits better than you do and he knows what tribulations you have to go through in order for him to mold you into the kind of person he wants you to be.
Psalm 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved
Isiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
For me personally when I've gone through difficult times this is usually the answer: let go and let God have his wonderful way. Stop thinking about it, get your mind out of the way and just let God operate in and through your life. Don't try to solve the problems yourself and don't say be telling God how to solve your problems because he can do it anyway he wants. Just lay your problems at his feet and then walk on claiming his promises and BELIEVE that your prayers will be answered.
James 1:2 (1 Peter 1:6-7, Romans 5:3-5)
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations:
One of my absolute favourite scriptures! A tribulation is a good thing to be going through! Not only can you know that you are at least not forgotten of God (Hebrews 12:5-8, Revelations 3:19) but it makes you a stronger Christian, closer to God and more patient! Boy do I love that scripture!

Some good thoughts. Thanks!
Also I've found if I'm discouraged if I go and do something for someone else (usually some physical activity it helps, get your mind off of yourself which usually is the real problem for me).
i just came home and came straight on here. mom didn't even know i was home. Its help alot, i feel better now:)
Sometimes gospel music helps too

maybe it's somewhat different, but that may be something I'm going through a lot... Unfortunately I don't really know what to do then; try and share your feelings with God, share the frustration, He can handle that alright (God He will never reject you, no, probably He even wants you to just express frustration, questions, anger? whatever... with Him)
Will pray for you...

Don't Hold on with your own strength!!
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord, and he will lift you up. Realize that you can't do it...let go and let God!!
Throw yourself into His open arms...

The past couple days has been really rough on me.... but I find myself saying "Lord in my weakness, your strength is made perfect". I say this over and over to myself and to him.... feelin better today . Thank you Jesus.
I was thinking, If everything was perfect, If I had no problems, no worries, then I won't need God. So thank you Jesus for my test and trials.

I was thinking, If everything was perfect, If I had no problems, no worries, then I won't need God.ofcourse you would!
even if I've just felt His warmth (love), the moment I don't feel it anymore, again I long for Him to bring that back...

But what if you have some strength to hold on? I understand letting go and letting God do it... well sort of... but what I don't understand is if you feel you can and should do something for the Lord where does the balance come in? I try to serve the Lord with all my might, strength, body, mind, soul but I know it's really the Lord doing it and try to remember that at all times. But you usually forget that though in all the hussel and bustle of life until everything blows up. But you still should do everything you can if you can do anything can't you?
I have found when I feel I'm at the end of my rope that really the Lord still doesn't you might say rescue you until if feels like you've let go and hit the ground and are buried 10 feet under. It's not something that I can make even happen (the 10 feet under part, it's after I've done everything I can, then I give up and then just totally lose everything is when the Lord takes it from there).

Sometimes we say that... we decide we need to be active.
Well, I agree with that.
But what we all miss, myself included, is that quiet secret prayer life. That's where the real strength lies. See, we start out well and good, but when we forget that secret prayer time, then we get away from God's leading and it becomes our strength again...and it's not God doing it anymore...it's us. Then it falls apart, because GOD wants the glory...bit us.
Much like the Israelites in the time of Gideon. God trimmed the army down to 300 so they would KNOW it was God.
I'm reminded of that song Sis Monica sang a couple years ago at the March meetings... it was called "I miss my time with you" and it said something like...
"we're too busy trying to serve him, but how can we serve Him, if our spirit is empty"
its really just the devil testing us.. seeing how we are going to react and if we will really call on God like we need too. Ive been fasting a couple days a week and every minute i got to pray i pray.. and that has been helping a whole lot!

Yes, it's really nice when you are in the Spirit so to speak without really trying! You know its the Lord doing it!
But then there are so many blessings coming your way you kind of start forgetting about that prayer time and reading the Bible. So many fun and exciting things that God is sending your way you don't want to miss out. And then boom! :) At least that is what I've seen in my life. And the whole process can happen in as little as a week. One day you are just in heaven, 3 days later, you feel like you should be dead.
God is so good!!! :)

Well, He never promised that the road would be easy. But he did promise to go with us all the way. And if Jesus is with me, what have i to fear. When i fall, -and i seem to do that alot lately-, He is there to hold out His hand like He did to Peter and lift me out of the waters of despair.
Hold me up above the waters Jesus
