I love being a girl. It's just awesome. We get the cool clothes, the long hair, the testimony when we go out because we tend to stand out more than a guy would...
It's awesome.
yes but a girl has to bare restrictions. like trimming of the hair, and certain tops and etc...
and not to mention when swimming have to be soo aware if when wearing a top and skirt its not see through! oh i hate that! a boy can just take his shirt off and jump in without fuss
but i enjoy being a girl anyway.
my dad and me were having an interesting discussion the other day trying to prove weither to be a boy or girl is better.
I said one big reason why i 'd hate to be a boy is you have to work all your life!!
at least girls can escape that they can get married -stay at home with a cute baby and have fun shopping for the baby and house
taking the baby to the beach and parks just spoiling the kid.
while the poor hubby has to be away all day and work!

lol, so you dont consider cooking 3 meals a day, doing laundry, changing diapers, making beds, scrubbing floors, driving 28 hours a day between soccer practise and kindergarten work? I sure do :D Not to mention making time for your realationship with your kids and husband.
In any case, I chose a job I can do all my life, even if I have kids. All I need is a small room in the house. :)
The only way swimming would be such a problem is if there were guys there... and if there are, why are they taking off their shirts?????
I love being a girl though... we do have stricter 'guidlines' if you want to call them that, but it's also easier for us in a way. Guys have so many wasy they can 'slip-up' without anyone knowing. Harder for them to stay in line quite often.
We also get to wear way better clothes!!!

Our clothes might be cuter... But their clothes are a lot more COMFORTABLE! lol For those of you who never wore pants (which I'm sure is most of you), you wouldn't know that. It was a hard transition for me going from wearing pants everyday to wearing skirts everyday. I'm still having a hard time finding ways to stay warm in the winter. But, I believe this is about my 3rd winter wearing skirts, so I'm getting a little bit better. :D
Personally, I'm very happy being a girl. The hardest thing for girls I believe is that with the increase in beauty in women, the world puts a lot of pressure on us to look that beautiful.
But, to me that is just ABC's compared to what men have to go through. I give a lot of credit to the genuine Christian guys, who live holy lives, because there isn't a whole lot of them out there. Men have so much on their shoulders. They are the head of the household, and have so much responsibility. They have to be able to work and provide for their family, be the best father and husband they can possibly be, and still put Jesus above it all. Being a husband/father is just like pastoring a church only in a smaller degree.
*applauds to the sisters on YQ who display true beauty, humbleness, and live pure, holy lives that is fit to be a wife and mother*
*applauds to the brothers on YQ who work hard and serve Christ with all their heart, and would make a wonderful husband and father*

Actually I didn't really like wearing pants... I had one pair of jeans that were comfy, but for the most part I preferred skirts. But I was raised in skirts, so I was used to them.

You obviously didn't wear sweat pants then, did you? lol
Now that I've wore skirts everyday for almost 3 years, I'm used to them by now. I can't even imagine myself wearing pants. Skirts have become a lot more comfortable to me than they did at first. They're especially comfortable in the summer when it's really hot outside. I guess it's easier for guys in the winter, and easier for girls in the summer. :D
Skirty! you painted a negative picture on a girl staying at home. you must have seen bad aspects of housewives.
i havn't. you don't have to cook 3 meals a day - sometimes get a takeaway expecially if u have one child! with one child its the best.
anycase i agree with EllyMea about the hard thing about being beautiful according to the standards of the world.
we can't but the innner beauty counts the most and you want to attract the right sought of person anyway

I didn't mean to paint a negative picture, it's true though. Sure you can have take-away... but not every night. I wasn't complaining about it either, I was just saying it is work to be a stay at home mom. Not a fun, shopping filled holiday with cute babies :)
And I did wear sweatpants, they were comfy. I forgot about that :) They were a little too casual for what i usually wore though. lol. Now I'm always casual.

I agree with a lot of the posts on what being a good wife and mother would be like. I guess though, if you know that's what you're supposed to do...and that would become a normal way of life in not too long of a time too, right...so I guess it all depends.

I found that sweaters work to help with the sleeveless and low cut tops, I button the top button or few to cover the bare area and then I'm good. the other thing I do for my daughter is find a cute shirt to put under the sleeveless top.

I want a cute dress, but I haven't worn a dress in so long, that I feel sort of weird trying them on. I don't feel that they are very flattering on me :) But you could always wear a shirt underneath if it is low and sleeveless, then it would be more like a jumper. Or wear a tank or even just put a piece of fabric for the neck and wear a cute sweater/shrug. For the length....there are several ways to add-on.
*just a few ideas*

I have 4 or 5 dresses that are sleeve-less and low cut. I just wear a nice dressy shirt underneath and/or a sweater/ shrug over the top.. It works out just fine. I have one that the lining is shorter than the overskirt(but its a dress so not really an overskirt, but the top layer, does that make sense?) but found a slip that looks the like lining so it's an appropriate length.
yeh, i'm shopping for tank tops at the moment so..we'll see.

Yeah, it's so cool how dresses are coming back in fashion! I'm yet to find one with sleeves, or a decent necklines... I can't work out why they're called necklines when they're no where near the neck!
I don't mind wearing t-shirts underneath them, but I can't find anything that looks good on me. I'm really tall & thin, so everything is either too short, too fitted, or too lumpy, and makes me look like I've got a big tummy!

But if the shirt's underneath, isn't it ok that it's tight...then it won't be lumpy.

if i need a shirt under something i usually get the shirt to fit a little tighter then i;d normally wear it so it wont bunch up. No one can tell and it looks lots better that way.
