I love trying out new crafts but my main hobby is cross stitching. You can have a look at my blog: http://blogs.vanblerk.org/ann/ to see some of the things I've been making. Lately I've been mostly busy with stitching for our Baby's nursery.

i used to crosstitch....ran out of time when the kids started coming along...now i love to scrapbook...that is when i get the time...3 kids really keep one busy....

I like cross-stitching...and I do a little sewing, but I'm big into crochet. Like making big blankets...it's fun.

Alana is a pro blanket maker! She made us one, and it's so thick and heavy, and super nice and warm!

pillows are so fun to make! different shapes...like hearts with lace and bead strings...so prettiful! and waaaay girly...lol...let's makes some for the guys...I'm sure their rooms all need a little feminine touch.

woohoo I love green! did you know it's really my fav color?? I mean for reals...rooms green, cars green, curtains green, bedspread green....still don't have those green socks college girl asked me about, haven't seen any at the stores i go to...

Green is a good color. I like it a lot. Anna, don't feel out of the loop, I can't do any of that stuff either. I used to sew. Ask Alana how that went. :D I'll give you a hint, a zig-zagg stiched finger. Pain! Tears! jk, about the tears.

No more sewing for me. Plus, nothing ever turns out the way I want it to.

I am an avid knitter, although I haven't done much since January (for some reason the winter months bring out the knitting nut in me lol ;) ). I'm actually in the middle of making a shrug/shawl thing for my sis. It's in a gorgeous deep brown colour and has cable patterns through it. I'll post a pic of the finished work-if it gets finished this year that is lol. I've graduated from scarves, leg warmers and arm warmers to jumpers, but that said I've only made one jumper. And it didn't turn out too bad for my first go-but always follow the pattern exactly people, I found that out the hard way. Who knows, maybe this winter will inpsire another jumper. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I see lots of pretty yarn...mmm lovely colours and textures.

I love knitting. It is so relaxing. Though I just know like 3 stitchs. So is crocheting, I have made a couple of things.

Sewing, if you are going to WYR, I have made my dress for the past 2 years, and intend on making this years dress as well. It is going to be sooo pretty, I have the material all picked out and everything. I have also made quite a few other things as well, such as skirts, and even my bedspread. Anna, we will have to get together, and work on some pillows, that would be totally cool. :thumbup:

I used to be an avid beader, but I have since been busy, found cake decorating instead, which lead to cooking, and other things, and now I am too busy for beading. I still have a lot of stuff, though...

i love art and craft. i cross stitch, crocet, scrapbook, paint arnamental objects, scraper foil, and anything else that comes up that sounds and looks interesting.:)
