I am starting this thread cause it is an interesting subject. Has anyone ever seen what they believe to be angels? I believe that with our spiritual mind that we can see them and that I have. I have never seen one in human form but I do see them like brother Branham did. The round like balls of light that have colors and some times even light up the room. I have seen my room pulsate with light before when it was dark and I had been strong in the spirit. I was just wondering who else has expierienced it? I know that I am not the only one, my sisters, Mom and a few friends have too, so there must be others. Also another very weird thing that has just started happening to me is that when I am strong in the spirit at times I can see with my eyes shut, I can actually see the room. It is kinda strange but true. Has anyone exspierienced that? My friend said that she had and that it was prob. how God was teaching me to use my spiritual eyes and not my natural.

What do you mean by being strong in the spirit?
And how do you get there? And how do you know that you are actually in the spirit?
Sounds like you are getting easy and often in the spirit.
Please explain.

Yeah... sounds like that to me too.
Forgive the slothful servant that I am Lord to not be the same so often.

Yes, I have seen an angel in a human form.
I was going through a really hard time in my life and I asked God to let me see one to boost my faith. Less than two months later, I had an actual visit from one with a personal message.
It was not something I dreamed or imagined, it really happened.
Many people (including me) have also seen angels surrounding our pastor when he was preaching as well as seeing little flames shooting out of his fingers. The atmosphere was incredible when these things were happening, and I believe that they were real.
I don't know if it has to do with faith levels or not, but I believe that anyone could have this happen if God wills it. It may not necessarily mean a deficiency if it never happens to someone either. After all, we don't all see visions like Bro. Branham did....

Ok, what I mean by that is when I get at a point that I am so filled with His spirit or His prescence is so strong It's like I am not as aware of the things that are going on around me. I am more in the spirit and since things spiritually. At times I don't have control of what is going on with me, Sometimes I can't stop praying in the spirit or can't stop laughing, or I get to a point where I can't move, it is where I believe that at this point God is doing a strong work in me or is showing me to pray for someone else (Intercessory Prayer). Have you ever heard of being drunk in the spirit? It means that the prescence of God is sooo strong and you are so filled with the spirit, that is what happens to me. I know it happened to Bro.Branham too. I saw it even on a video of a healing meeting. He was so drunk in the spirit that he couldn't stand up. Someone had to stand behind him and keep him from falling. It's hard to explain what actually happens when I am strong in the spirit, But maybe that will clarify it some. And yes I believe that we all have different ways that God uses us and does things through us. So just because I have expierienced it dosn't mean that every one will. It is an awesome exspierience though, try praying about it and maybe you can expierience it too.

Angels we are told, to influence, encourage, give strength and I think everyone is given a way or the ability to perceive them once borned again which might come in a variety of ways. Bro Branham said it's like a pressure that'll give you goosebumps, in which I agree. Whenever we pray or come to the service, there is a certain presence, holy, enlightening. Personally, I have considered every circumstance or situation I was with that something unseen has made a good thing happen or help me avoid getting into trouble. Like when I forgot something, something would just pop up in the mind telling you that you have to get back.

How did he appear and disappear and how did he look like?
The whole story would take forever to tell, but the main part is basically this:
I was woke up at three a.m. by a touch on my shoulder. I thought it was my mom or someone, but when I opened my eyes, there was someone in white standing in front of me. I couldn't see a face, I saw from about the ears back, but I did see shoulder-length hair that had an undescribable color.
My first reaction was 'whoa'. I did at first think that I was dreaming, but then I saw a feature in the room that made me realize that I was awake.
I couldn't move, I could barely think, so I just sat there and looked at him.
He did the same then said, "Pray for more guidance and strength and you shall recieve it." Exactly what I was needing.
Then he slowly faded away and there was a rainbow where he had been standing.
I laid there for a moment more, then dropped out of bed and prayed for awhile, then when I felt a peace come over me, I went back to sleep.
And that's pretty much the whole thing in a nutshell. There were a few other events that preceded and followed this, and I am currently writing a print-out of them that I'll make available on here as soon as I get it done.

I start by worshipping Him with all my heart and soul. Sometimes I have worship music on and other times I just pray. I also find that praying in the spirit helps. Especially when you don't know exactly what to say.

I figured I would just copy the story from there so here it is. Almost a year now since this happened. I have other testimonies about angels too.
I have a quick testimony to tell everyone.......................................... ...... I almost walked away from God about 2 months ago.... I had a friend who was involved in the wiccan religion. I had decided that I would become wiccan, at first I had read that you could be Christian and wiccan at the same time. Then I started thinking well maybe there isn't a God, I was unsure about what I was getting myself into and said to God that I was so confused and I wasn't sure if He really was real, at that point I needed to know that He was there for me. I had only mentioned to God what I was going to do. At that time not really believing that He was hearing me. My mom and my sister had gone to visit my Mom's best friend in Alabama.(She has moved there since Hurricane Katrina, so no one really comes to visit. ) Well, while they were there a complete Stranger came to there door looking for someone. Then she started talking to my Mom, sister and my Mom's friend about me (Never having ever talked to or met me) and she said that That God wanted me to know that He loved me and had a special purpose for me but if I kept going the way that I was going I was going to die. God had never been so real to me as He was at that moment, since then I have a closer relationship with Him then I ever had before! Plus my friend that was into wicca got rid of all his wiccan stuff and wants to know more about God. Please pray that He will except Jesus into his heart and have a personal relationship with Him! Isn't God soooo AWESOME!

I agree. Not every "angel" experience has to be a a flesh human being, a lot of times it is just a light or a presence that is felt. But it is still very awesome...

Uhm.. You know this already...but wherever you read that...throw that book away.
Sounds like you've had some powerful experiences...and that God has a great plan for you... but it also sounds like you really need to get into the WORD of God.
The Holy Ghost is so important in our lives... just having an experience doesn't mean we have the Holy Ghost. Paul had a great experience and saw a great light on the road to Emmaus, but that didn't mean he had the Holy Ghost. Three days later Ananias prayed for him that he might recieve the Holy Ghost and his sight.
This was just my thoughts as I read through this, and perhaps you already know this, but I thought I'd share. To me it sounds like you have some really awesome experiences, but really need to get rooted and grounded in the Word of God. That doesn't mean you stop having awesome experiences...but that does mean you'll be more solid, more sure, and when you read somewhere that you can be wiccan and Christian, you wont believe it at all...
GOd Bless you.

Trying to catch up on all that I missed out did not get the chance to read everything but I can leave you with this................
This Bride will be a WORD bride, yes anointing and visions are right, but the WORD must be in you. I have seen great anointing come on people I mean tremendous anointings and they focused on that with NO Word on the inside and when the Word test came, some of them backslid because there was no foundation. Anointing is good but its better to seek the Lord for His Word to be formed in you, after all the Bible says that Heaven and Earth will pass away but His Word will stand.
I have a question gingersnap, its something that we all have to ask ourselves, if today when you pray you feel nothing, you see no more angels, feel no more presence, would you still believe in Him, would you still talk of him, would you still live for him.

yeah it's not about the feelings or the goosebumps or even the gifts, the Bride follows Christ not the gifts, Gifts are wonderful, but unbelievers follow only the gifts, "worshipping the creation not the creator" while the Gifts will follow the bride, that's why in every message church not everyone if bride, because some are followed by gifts yet others follow the gifts.
i hope that made sense lol. and this isn't pointed at anyone in particular or any particular church, just thought i would add in on the thread.
we must rooted as bro trevor presviously said or we will slip away, i love how he said it. i have seen all sorts of things, but just because i see something doesn't mean i'm saved, i've seen demons i've seen angels, and i have even been profoundly priviledged and honored to see the pillar of Fire, but only through the sealing of the spirit of God can we have etermal life. it's not about signs and wonders but about the Spirit of God, you must be rooted in God. just keep seeking his face, loving on each other and standing in the Word of God, and you'll see, God has already made a way for you for paul said we have been predestinated from before the world foundations,
hope this helped in some way, God Bless you saints

I agree completely. Some might call these things a gift, but after all, "gifts and callings are without repentance".
Other religions might have some supernatural experiences, but they do not have the Truth of the Word, and therefore, not for us to dabble in.

its something that we all have to ask ourselves, if today when you pray you feel nothing, you see no more angels, feel no more presence, would you still believe in Him, would you still talk of him, would you still live for him.
I think that's a deep question - and therefor I too long to respond to it
yes, I would still believe; I know it'd be really tough but...
see, as a very young christian I hardly ever felt love - not even His - which I assume was caused by me being totally locked up, not yet trusting, not even really aware how awfully un-trusting I was then; oh I bugged the elders in church a lot with, oh I long for His love (which started, ofcourse, after He had shown me it is possible to feel... His love)
nowadays I experience so much more of it, He's so great
Sounds like you've had some powerful experiences...and that God has a great plan for you... but it also sounds like you really need to get into the WORD of God.

Amen Bro Trevor! Brother Branham always said you don't get the Holy Ghost when you believe but after you believe.
Having that true revealed Word is so important, not just an intellectual understanding because if it is just intellectual then somebody can come along with an intellectual argument and prove you wrong and you'll be "tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine. But once you have that true revelation then nothing will move you.

Ask and ye shall receive... :)what exactly does "proving ourselves worthy" mean, I have no clue; again -- I do pray; just would long to actually experience His leading, His comforting, His helping, His being there... everything :012:
clues clues, if it's so obvious what I do wrong, or what I'm not doing what I should, show me so I see, not only say I'm not doing it or not properly; show me how to stop what I should not do and how I start what I do not do well; show me how because it's like a puzzle I can't understand

hmmmm... I donīt think it has got a lot to do with being worthy or not.
The bible says "For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance." (Romans 11:29)
Somebody can actually have a gift (of speaking in tongues or prophesying...) and still live in sin.

The only thing I know how to get closer to God is through prayer and reading his Word.
The bible says if we draw nigh to Him He will draw nigh to us.
I believe that with all my heart (and I have experienced it).
The key is prayer and total surrender to God.

feeatlast makes wonderful points, and while prayer and reading the Word is central and essential. I feel there are also little things you can do to help keep yourself focused on Jesus whern your not reading or praying. Like listening to modest christian music, get rid of things or at least put checks on things that would hinder your time from God. Such as internet, games, movies, tv, etc....
I used to have huge problems with games, but I got so convicted about it that I can't even pick up a controller without asking myself should I really be playing this game. Internet became a huge thing for me and i have found my self cutting down on it. I hate movies and don't get me started on tv.
all these things i have experienced first hand to be blackholes sucking up time and energy that could better be spent serving the kingdom of God. Which the internet can be used as a witness tool of sorts and such, but it's when it stops being so much of a witness tool as something for yourself. Ending up eating your day away is when these things become hazardous to our spiritual life. We must come to prioritize our lives better, constantly keeping checks and safeties on our lives that we let nothing come before Christ in our lives!!!!
I have found that by cutting out certain things from my life, games, some internet time, and even movies and tv. I have been able to spend more time with God and be on a higher level of relationship with him that i was when I was occupying myself with some things.
