Girls & Guys,
Please if you are going to post a long thread, use proper punctuation such as paragraphs, spacing etc... it makes it easier to read.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!!! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!!!!
That has been bugging me for a long time. Yes, I admit to the odd mistake, and it drives me crazy, but sometimes it's impossible to read posts.:yay: :yay:

I know I'm not perfect, but little things like capitalization, punctuation, and proper spelling ALWAYS make a post look a lot better. Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention.
Ok, but. BUT. Nooooo... i like these: ... And random periods. Not because they go THERE, but because that's the way i like them. I refuse to stop using my ...s and my random periods. OK? And my "ands" at the beginning of sentences. Ohhh and my repeated letters like in OHHHHHH... Ohhh... this is depressing. It feels like my freedoms are being taken away. Ok, ok, i'll stop! Fine. BUT. Yes, the above still stands.
:chris:
I can see the occasional use of writings that employs a simulated conversational style... where it mimics how you would say it. Just as long as it all has structure.
Of course, for more serious posts...

Yeah, I agree. Sara, your posts are funny and I get their point (at least most of the time, :)) But, when things are spelled incorrectly and punctuation is used incorrectly or not all, then it is very hard to read and get the point across. Also, no matter how intelligent the person is, when a post is sloppy (bad spelling, grammar, etc.), it makes it harder to take the person seriously, and usually does not make the reader want to read more, because it seems as if the writer does not care what they say.
By saying this, I am in no way thinking less of anyone or trying to make anyone seem dumb/unintelligent. I'm just saying that in general, that is one's thoughts. I make mistakes all the time, and once I notice, it drives me crazy! So, please correct any of my mistakes, I will not be offended or hurt in any way. I care enough about my posts and the readers to want my point to get across as well as I can.

See, I really agree with this because when it's a long paragraph my eyes just start glazing over. I think I really only read the first and last sentence of a long paragraph. Maybe that's why I miss things in some of the books I read and my wife reads them later and says "did you catch such and such" which I probably didn't because it was probably in a long paragraph that I didn't read all of because it was just too long. So you see, I personally prefer shorter paragraphs because then if I read the first and last sentence I'm not missing anything, because if I miss things, then I really don't appreciate the full value of what someone is trying to say, because it's just too long and like I said my eyes glaze over. SO, I agree with blesseds post here. Thank you Blessed.
------------
On the above paragraph here's what I would have read...
"agree with blessed" - "miss things" - "eyes glaze over" - "thanks blessed"

Long paragraphs are more heinous to me...

Wow, I could seriously quote everything everyone has said in here.
But yes, bad spelling and punctuation is simply THE WORST. Spelling is especially horrible because then you don't really know what the person is trying to say...arrrgh.
But I do like my multiple periods...it's a nice way of not finishing a thought and leaving people to *wonder*......haha

Lol, almost all my sentences end in either a smillie face, or multiple periods... it's a habit by now ;)

I have a very important suggestion. I've noticed people mentioning names of other people on here that are not registered on here. I don't think it's very safe or kind to mention the names of people that are not registered users on this board. Especially last names. I wouldnt' appreciate it if someone mentioned my name without my permission. So, a suggestion, don't name names unless they are a member or have your permission.
